- I purchased 62 shares of Essential Utilities, Inc. (WTRG) at $38.30 per share plus commission.
At today's
exchange rate, this purchase is expected to increase my projected
annual net dividend income by approximately €55.34. Following the
acquisition, my portfolio now holds 197 shares of Essential
Utilities, with an average purchase price of $37.03 per share and a
yield on cost of 3.70%. Based on the announced merger, these 197 WTRG
shares are expected to convert into approximately 60 shares of
AWK.
After the transaction, WTRG accounts for approximately
0.74% of my portfolio by market value and contributes about 0.71% of
my projected annual dividend income.

- I purchased 45 shares of Main Street Capital Corporation (MAIN) at $51.05 per share plus commission.
At today's
exchange rate, this purchase is expected to increase my projected
annual net dividend income by approximately €93.20. Following the
acquisition, my portfolio now holds 200 shares of Main Street
Capital, with an average purchase price of $41.20 per share and a
yield on cost of 7.72%.
After the transaction, MAIN accounts
for approximately 1.0% of my portfolio by market value and
contributes about 1.66% of my projected annual dividend income.

- AbbVie Inc. (ABBV) Revises Guidance; ABBV revised its second-quarter 2026 guidance to include acquired in-process research and development (IPR&D) and milestone expenses of $291 million on a pre-tax basis, representing an unfavorable impact of approximately $0.17 per share. As a result, the company expects second-quarter adjusted diluted EPS in the range of $3.57 to $3.61. Including these expenses, ABBV reaffirmed its full-year 2026 adjusted diluted EPS guidance of $13.91 to $14.11.
- Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) to Acquire Ultra Maritime; LMT announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Ultra Maritime, a global defense company specializing in advanced undersea warfare and anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities for allied naval forces for $3.45 billion. The company develops and delivers mission-critical systems including sonar technologies, sonobuoys, torpedo defense systems, radar solutions, and autonomous maritime sensing platforms.
- Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) announced that its Aeronautics division secured a $142.9M firm-fixed-price contract to provide software sustainment services for the C-5 Galaxy aircraft. The contract covers software updates and maintenance, certification support, systems integration laboratory maintenance, and engineering and technical software support.
- L3Harris Technologies, Inc. (LHX) secured a follow-on contract with a maximum value of $499.6M to support the Missile Defense Agency's Flight Test Airborne Sensor program. The contract covers support for flight test aircraft and sensor equipment, mission planning, flight test execution, and modernization efforts.
- Unum Group (UNM) Announces $3.8 Billion Long-Term Care Reinsurance Transaction with Fortitude Re; UNM announced that its subsidiary, Unum Life Insurance Company of America, has entered into a reinsurance agreement with Fortitude Reinsurance Company to cede certain individual long-term care (LTC) insurance policies representing approximately $3.8 billion in statutory reserves. The transaction is expected to be completed during 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
July 7, 2026
- NCC AB (NCC) builds bridges in Vestland County, Norway; NCC has been commissioned by Vestland County Council to build the Atløy Link in Norway. The project, which will connect Atløy island with mainland Norway, encompasses the construction of three bridges, together with associated roads. The order value is approximately SEK 1.4 billion.
- NCC AB (NCC) to construct school in Nesoddtangen in Norway; NCC has been commissioned by Nesodden Municipality in Norway to construct a school and sports hall. The order value is approximately SEK 340 million.
- Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) announced the award of two defense contracts with a combined value of approximately $607.4 million. The larger award is a $502.4 million cost-no-fee contract from the U.S. Army for post-production support of the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sight (M-TADS/PNVS) systems deployed on AH-64 Apache helicopters. In a separate award, the company received a $105 million firm-fixed-price task order to upgrade the GPS control segment with enhanced command-and-control capabilities for next-generation GPS III Follow-On satellites.

- Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) secured a $502.4M hybrid contract to provide post-production support for Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sight systems used on AH-64 helicopters worldwide. The contract supports systems provided through international agreements, with work locations and funding to be determined for each individual order.
- Intact Financial Corporation (TSE: IFC) Announces Second Quarter Catastrophe and Large Losses Estimate; IFC announced that elevated catastrophe and large losses in the second quarter of 2026 exceeded the company's expectations by $247 million on a pre-tax basis, net of reinsurance. Total pre-tax catastrophe losses for the quarter were approximately $416 million, of which $295 million occurred in Canada, reflecting the impact of severe weather, torrential storms, and widespread flooding.
- Capital Power Corporation (TSE: CPX) Enters Long-term Energy Supply Agreement with Meta in Alberta; CPX announced it has entered into a long-term (greater than 10 years) Energy Supply Agreement (“ESA”) for 250 megawatts (“MW”) of capacity and energy in support of a data centre in Sturgeon County, Alberta being developed by Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”). The load from the project is anticipated to be in service in the back half of 2028.

- PepsiCo, Inc. (PEP) Reports Second-Quarter 2026 Results; PEP reported second-quarter non-GAAP EPS of $2.20, representing a 4% increase from the prior-year period but falling $0.01 short of analyst expectations. Revenue rose 6.4% year over year to $24.14 billion, surpassing consensus estimates by $230 million. Looking ahead, management reaffirmed its fiscal 2026 guidance, calling for organic revenue growth of 2% to 4%, core constant-currency EPS growth of 4% to 6%, and total cash returns to shareholders of approximately $8.9 billion.
- General Dynamics Electric Boat, a unit of General Dynamics Corporation (GD), received a $255M contract modification to provide engineering, technical, design, and planning yard support for operational strategic and attack submarines.
- RTX Corporation (RTX) announced that its Missiles and Defense business received a $101.98M undefinitized contract modification for engineering work to restart the MK 45 Capsule Launch System production line. The modification covers design updates, obsolescence mitigation, system integration, testing, and redesign of Eject Initiation Subsystems.
- Main Street Capital Corporation (MAIN) Announces Second Quarter 2026 Private Loan Portfolio Activity; MAIN reported originating $319 million of new and expanded private loan commitments during the second quarter of 2026 and funding $238.9 million of investments. As of June 30, 2026, the company's private loan portfolio had a cost basis of approximately $2.1 billion, with 93.6% allocated to first-lien senior secured debt and 6.4% to equity investments.

- BW LPG Limited (BWLPG.OL) Announces Sale of BW Elm; BWLPG announced that its 52%-owned subsidiary, BW LPG India, has entered into an agreement to sell the 2007-built BW Elm for continued trading. On a 100% basis, the sale of BW Elm is expected to generate a net book gain of approximately US$36 million and net cash proceeds of around US$64 million. The vessel is scheduled for delivery to the buyer by mid-August.

ReplyDeleteHi, I use both Nordnet and Danske Bank, nowadays I mainly use Danske Bank for my U.S. stock investments and Nordnet for my Canadian holdings.

ReplyDeleteSome of your investments can't be done through a Swedish broker, like Main and Ares. You can sell if you have them already but not add to the investment made...
