Dividend Increase – Pfizer Inc. (PFE)

 


Friday, December 11 the Board of Directors of Pfizer Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.38 to $ 0.39 per share that’s payable March 5, 2020 to holders of record January 29, 2020. This represents a 2.63% increase over last quarterly dividend.

 

The transaction to combine Upjohn with Mylan to form Viatris Inc. closed on November 16, 2020. It is expected that Viatris will begin paying a quarterly dividend in the second quarter of 2021, at which time Pfizer’s quarterly dividend will be reduced such that the combined dividend dollar amount received by Pfizer shareholders, based upon the combination of continued Pfizer ownership and approximately 0.124079 shares of Viatris which were granted for each Pfizer share in the spin-off, will equate to Pfizer’s dividend amount in effect immediately prior to the initiation of the Viatris dividend.

Dividend Increase – Enbridge Inc. (ENB)

 


Yesterday, December 8 the Board of Directors of Enbridge Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.810 to CA$ 0.835 per share that’s payable March 1, 2020 to holders of record February 12, 2020. This represents a 3.09% increase over last quarterly dividend.

 

"For the 26th consecutive year, we're pleased to be providing our shareholders with another dividend increase in 2021. This reflects our confidence in our healthy 5-7% DCF per share growth outlook, on average, through 2023 and beyond, the priority we place on returning capital to shareholders, and our strong financial position. We'll continue to ratably grow the dividend up to the level of average annual DCF per share growth, while maintaining our dividend policy payout of 60-70% of distributable cash flow.

Dividend Increase – Aflac Incorporated (AFL)

 


On Wednesday, November 18 the Board of Directors of Aflac Incorporated announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.28 to $ 0.33 per share that’s payable March 1, 2020 to holders of record February 17, 2020. This represents a 17.9% increase over last quarterly dividend.

 

Commenting on the announcement, Aflac Incorporated Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Daniel P. Amos said: "I am pleased with the Board's action to increase the first quarter 2021 dividend. We treasure our record of 38 consecutive years of dividend increases, and we are looking to reward our shareholders by extending that track record in 2021. We remain committed to maintaining strong capital ratios on behalf of our policyholders and balance this financial strength with a focus on increasing the dividend, repurchasing shares and reinvesting in our business. On Friday, November 6 the Board of Directors of TELUS Corporation announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.29125 to CA$ 0.3112 per share that’s payable January 4, 2021 to holders of record December 11, 2020. This represents a 6.85% increase over last quarterly dividend and is the nineteenth dividend increase since TELUS announced its original multi-year dividend growth program in May 2011.

On Friday, October 30 the Board of Directors of AbbVie Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 1.18 to $ 1.30 per share that’s payable February 16, 2020 to holders of record January 15, 2020. This represents a 10.12% increase over last quarterly dividend.

Yesterday, September 30 the Board of Directors of Starbucks Corporation announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.41 to $ 0.45 per share that’s payable November 27, 2020 to holders of record November 12, 2020. This represents a 9.76% increase over last quarterly dividend.

 UGI Corporation distributes, stores, transports, and markets energy products and related services in the United States and internationally. The company operates through four segments: AmeriGas Propane, UGI International, Midstream & Marketing, and UGI Utilities. It distributes propane to approximately 1.6 million residential, commercial/industrial, motor fuel, agricultural, and wholesale customers through 1,800 propane distribution locations; and sells, installs, and services propane appliances, including heating systems and propane-powered generators. The company also distributes liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) to residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, wholesale and automobile fuel customers; and provides logistics, storage, and other services to third-party LPG distributors.
