Dividend Increase – Fortis Inc. (TSE:FTS)

 


Today, September 23rd the Board of Directors of Fortis Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.477 to CA$ 0.505 per share that’s payable December 1, 2020 to holders of record November 18, 2020. This represents a 5.87% increase over last quarterly dividend.

 

In addition, the Corporation has extended its targeted average annual dividend per common share growth of approximately 6% to 2025 based on a 2020 annualized dividend of $1.91. Effective December 1, 2020, the 2% discount offered on common share issuances under the dividend reinvestment plan will be reinstated.

 

With current price CA$ 52.90 (yesterday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 3.82%.

Dividend Increase – Emera Inc. (TSE:EMA)

 


 

On Wednesday, September 16th the Board of Directors of Emera Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.6125 to CA$ 0.6375 per share that’s payable November 15, 2020 to holders of record November 1, 2020. This represents a 4.08% increase over last quarterly dividend.

 

“Emera’s overall business continues to perform well despite the challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic,” said Scott Balfour, President and CEO of Emera Inc. “We are pleased to be in a position to increase our dividend at a level consistent with our target growth rate, and to reaffirm our dividend growth rate target of four to five percent through to 2022.”

Recent Buy - UGI Corporation (UGI)

 

Wednesday September 9th, I bought 80 shares of UGI Corporation at $ 33.47 per share plus commission.

 


 UGI Corporation distributes, stores, transports, and markets energy products and related services in the United States and internationally. The company operates through four segments: AmeriGas Propane, UGI International, Midstream & Marketing, and UGI Utilities. It distributes propane to approximately 1.6 million residential, commercial/industrial, motor fuel, agricultural, and wholesale customers through 1,800 propane distribution locations; and sells, installs, and services propane appliances, including heating systems and propane-powered generators. The company also distributes liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) to residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, wholesale and automobile fuel customers; and provides logistics, storage, and other services to third-party LPG distributors. In addition, it engages in the retail sale of natural gas, liquid fuels, and electricity to approximately 13,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers at 41,000 locations. Further, the company distributes natural gas to approximately 655,000 customers in the portions of 44 eastern and central Pennsylvania counties through its distribution system of 12,300 miles of gas mains; and supplies electricity to approximately 62,000 customers in northeastern Pennsylvania through 2,500 miles of lines and 14 substations. UGI Corporation was founded in 1882 and is headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Dividend Increase – Target Corporation (TGT)


Today, June 11th the Board of Directors of Target Corporation announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.66 to $ 0.68 per share that’s payable September 10, 2020 to holders of record August 19, 2020. This represents a 3.03% increase over last quarterly dividend.

The 3rd quarter dividend will be the company's 212th consecutive dividend paid since October 1967 when the company became publicly held.  With the increase announced today, 2020 is on track to be the 49th consecutive year in which Target has increased its annual dividend.

Dividend Increase – Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN)


Thursday, May 7th the Board of Directors of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.1410 to $ 0.1551 per share that’s payable July 15, 2020 to holders of record June 30, 2020. This represents a 10.0% increase over last quarterly dividend.

Today April 14 the Board of Directors of Johnson & Johnson announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.95 to $ 1.01 per share that’s payable June 9, 2020 to holders of record May 26, 2020. This is the 58th consecutive annual dividend increase authorized by the Johnson & Johnson, and represents a 6.32% increase over last year’s dividend.

Dividend Increase – General Dynamics Corporation (GD)



Yesterday, March 4 the Board of Directors of General Dynamics Corporation announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 1.02 to $ 1.10 per share that’s payable May 8, 2020 to holders of record April 10, 2020. This is the 23rd consecutive annual dividend increase authorized by the General Dynamics board, and represents a 7.84% increase over last year’s dividend.

Dividend Increase – Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (DLR)



Yesterday, February 27 the Board of Directors of Digital Realty Trust, Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 1.08 to $ 1.12 per share that’s payable March 31, 2020 to holders of record March 17, 2020. This represents a 3.70% increase to the last quarter dividend. 

"Our board of directors has approved a 4% increase in our quarterly common stock cash dividend to $1.12 per share, reflecting confidence in the underlying strength of our business," commented Andrew P.
