Recent Buy - Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM.TO)


Tuesday December 11, I bought 15 shares of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce at CA$ 105.98 per share plus commission.


Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, a diversified financial institution, provides various financial products and services to individual, small business, commercial, corporate, and institutional clients in Canada, the United States, and internationally. The company operates through four strategic business units: Canadian Personal and Small Business Banking; Canadian Commercial Banking and Wealth Management; U.S. Commercial Banking and Wealth Management; and Capital Markets. It offers chequing, savings, tax free savings, and business accounts; loans, lines of credit, student lines of credit, and business and agriculture loans; fixed and variable rate, first time home buyer, and commercial mortgages; rapid and franchise financing services; and home power plan solutions. The company also provides prepaid, credit, and commercial cards; and guaranteed investment certificates, investment banking, mutual funds, structured notes, education RESPs, and disability RDSPs, as well as portfolio, business, and investment solutions. Dividend Increase – Dominion Energy (D)



Thursday, December 14th, the Board of Directors of Dominion Energy announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.835 to $ 0.9175 per share that’s will be payable March 2019.  This represents a 9.88% increase to regular quarterly dividends.

The expected 2019 dividend increase would mark the 16th consecutive year in which the annual dividend rate rose from the previous year's rate.

Payment of the 2019 dividend is subject to quarterly determination and declaration by the board of directors of specific record and payable dates.

With current price $ 76.99 (Monday's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 4.77%.

Dividend Increase – Pfizer Inc. (PFE)


Thursday, December 14th, the Board of Directors of Pfizer Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.34 to $ 0.36 per share that’s payable March 1, 2019 to holders of record February 1, 2019. This represents a 5.88% increase to regular quarterly dividends.

The first-quarter 2019 cash dividend will be the 321st consecutive quarterly dividend paid by Pfizer.

Keeping with past practice, the board of directors also authorized a new $10 billion share repurchase program to be utilized over time. This new program is in addition to the $4.9 billion remaining under the company’s current authorization.

“We are confident in the business and focused on maximizing total shareholder return, of which the dividend remains a key component,” stated Ian Read, Pfizer chairman and chief executive officer.

With current price $ 43.80 (Friday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 3.29%.

Dividend Increase – AT&T Inc. (T)



Yesterday, December 14, the Board of Directors of AT&T Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.5 to $ 0.51 per share that’s payable February 1, 2019 to holders of record January 10, 2019. This represents a 2.0% increase to regular quarterly dividends.

“Our healthy cash flows and strong outlook for 2019 give us the confidence to raise our dividend for the 35th consecutive year. The dividend is an important way we provide value to our shareholders, and I’m proud that we are able to continue our history of annual increases,” said Randall Stephenson, chairman and CEO, AT&T Inc.

With current price $ 30.22 (Friday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 6.75%.

Dividend Increase – Enbridge Inc. (TSX, NYSE: ENB)



On Tuesday, December 11, the Board of Directors of Enbridge Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.671 to CA$ 0.738 per share that’s payable March 1, 2019 to holders of record February 15, 2019. The declared dividend represents a 10 percent increase from the prior quarterly rate and the twenty-fourth consecutive year in which the Company has increased its common share dividend.

With current price CA$ 42.61 (Wednesday's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 6.93%.

Recent Buy - Lazard Ltd (LAZ)


Yesterday, December 6th I bought 50 shares of Lazard Ltd at $ 35.98 per share plus commission.


My overall cost basis of this position decreases from $ 43.23 to $ 39.77 per share. I totally hold now 100 shares of LAZ and my yield on cost is 4.42%. I purchased my first LAZ's shares about two months ago, which you can read here.
