Dividend Increase – Flowers Foods, Inc. (FLO)



Today May 23, the Board of Directors of Flowers Foods, Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.18 to $ 0.19 per ordinary share that’s payable June 21, 2019 to holders of record June 7, 2019. This represents a 5.56% increase to regular quarterly dividends.

"The board and management team believe Flowers Foods is well positioned to grow profitably with its leading bakery brands," said George E. Deese, chairman of the board. "Our company's strong cash flow is a powerful advantage and supports both strategic investments and a growing dividend. The board is confident the company's strategic priorities to profitably grow brands, aggressively manage costs, invest in product adjacencies, and develop a team with leading capabilities can deliver attractive shareholder returns over the long-term."

With current price $ 22.80 (today's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 3.33 %.

Dividend Increase – Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp (AQN)



Yesterday May 9, the Board of Directors of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.1282 to $ 0.1410 per ordinary share that’s payable July 15, 2019 to holders of record June 28, 2019. This represents a 9.98% increase to regular quarterly dividends.

With current price CA$ 15.25 (yesterday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 4.95 %.

Dividend Increase – TELUS Corporation (TSX: T, NYSE: TU)



Today May 9, the Board of Directors of TELUS Corporation announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.545 to CA$ 0.5625 per ordinary share that’s payable July 2, 2019 to holders of record June 10, 2019. This represents a 7.14% increase year-over-year and 3.21% increase to the last quarter dividend. This was a seventeenth dividend increase since TELUS announcing their multi-year dividend growth program in May 2011.

TELUS announced its intention to target ongoing semi-annual dividend increases, with the annual increase in the range of 7 to 10 per cent from 2020 through to the end of 2022. This announcement further extends TELUS’ multi-year dividend growth program originally announced in May 2011 and extended for three additional years in each of May 2013 and May 2016. This program provides investors with ongoing clarity with respect to TELUS’ dividend growth model. 

With current price CA$ 49.20 (today's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 4.57 %.

Dividend Increase – Baxter International Inc. (BAX)



Today May 7, the Board of Directors of Baxter International Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.19 to $ 0.22 per ordinary share that’s payable July 1, 2019 to holders of record June 7, 2019. This represents a 15.79 % increase to regular quarterly dividends.

Almeida, chairman and chief executive officer. “Our disciplined capital allocation strategy remains focused on driving innovation for patients, growth for the business and greater value for our investors.”

With current price $ 76.81 (today's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 1.15 %.
