Welcome and thanks for reading!
In this review, I will make a summary of important and interesting news and events over the last week related to my portfolio holdings. Also, I will put together some interesting articles from other websites that caught my attention during the past week.
On Friday, August 7, 2026, the Board of Directors of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) announced a quarterly dividend increase from $1.61 to $1.72 per share. The dividend will be payable on October 9, 2026, to shareholders of record as of September 30, 2026. This represents a 6.83% increase over the previous quarterly dividend.
In addition to the dividend increase, ITW announced that its Board of Directors approved a new authorization allowing the company to repurchase up to $6 billion of its common stock, further demonstrating its commitment to returning capital to shareholders.
Note: This week’s post is going to be a short and sweet one!
As much as I love tracking my portfolio news, counting dividend payouts, and sharing interesting reads with you all, I’ve been away on vacation this week. That means no market updates, no dividend tallies, and no curated reading list this time around—just some well-deserved time offline!
I’ll be back next Sunday with the usual roundup. Until then, have a great week!
