- RTX Corporation (RTX) announced that it won a $603M ceiling IDIQ contract for B-52 radar production and sustainment. The contract covers radar modernization for B-52 aircraft with the new AN/APQ-188 radar.
- The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) Reports Third Quarter Results; BNS reported third-quarter non-GAAP EPS of C$2.28, up 21.3% year over year and C$0.18 above analyst expectations. Revenue increased 11.1% to C$10.54 billion, exceeding estimates by C$610 million. Adjusted return on equity (ROE) improved to 14.2% from 12.4% a year earlier. The Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio was 13.1%, up 20 basis points from the previous quarter. Provisions for credit losses (PCL) totaled C$1.079 billion, down from C$1.217 billion in Q2 but up from C$1.041 billion in the prior-year quarter.

- Unum Group’s (UNM) Board of Directors Authorizes $1 Billion Share Repurchase Program; UNM announced that its board of directors has approved a new share repurchase program authorizing the company to repurchase up to $1 billion of its common stock from time to time beginning on September 1, 2026. The company’s current share repurchase program will continue in effect through August 31, 2026, at which time the current program will terminate and all subsequent repurchases will take place under the new program.
- Enbridge Inc. (ENB) to Extend Permian Export Value Chain with Acquisition of Salt Creek Midstream's Crude Gathering Business; ENB announced that, through a wholly owned subsidiary, it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Salt Creek Midstream’s crude oil gathering business. The transaction includes 100% ownership of the Orla and Wink North systems and a 50% interest in the Delaware Crossing (DCX) system for total cash consideration of US$600 million.
August 27, 2026
- Altria Group, Inc. (MO) Increases Quarterly Dividend; MO announced that its Board of Directors approved a 4.7% increase in the regular quarterly dividend to $1.11 per share, up from the previous rate of $1.06. The quarterly dividend is payable on October 9, 2026, to shareholders of record as of September 15, 2026.
- Best Buy Co., Inc. (BBY) Reports Second Quarter Results; BBY reported second-quarter non-GAAP EPS of $1.47, up 15% year over year and $0.09 above analyst expectations. Revenue increased 3.6% to $9.78 billion, exceeding estimates by $190 million. Management raised its fiscal 2027 guidance, now expecting revenue of $42.3–$42.8 billion and adjusted diluted EPS of $6.70–$6.90.
- RTX Corporation (RTX) announced that it won a not-to-exceed $240.75M contract modification from the U.S. Navy to support the F135 engine for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.
- Royal Bank of Canada (RY) Reports Third Quarter 2026 Results; RY reported quarterly adjusted EPS of C$4.28, up from C$3.84 in the prior-year period and C$0.21 above analyst expectations. Revenue increased 9.1% year over year to C$18.54 billion, exceeding estimates by C$360 million. The bank’s Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio was 13.5%, unchanged from the previous quarter. Adjusted return on equity (ROE) improved to 17.7% from 17.3% a year earlier. Provisions for credit losses (PCL) totaled C$1.00 billion, up from C$912 million in the previous quarter and C$881 million in the prior-year quarter.
- The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) Reports Third Quarter 2026 Results; TD reported third-quarter non-GAAP EPS of C$2.77, up 25.9% year over year and exceeding analyst expectations by C$0.30. Revenue increased 10.4% to C$16.89 billion, beating estimates of C$1.9 billion. Adjusted return on equity (ROE) improved to 16.0%, compared with 13.2% a year earlier. The bank’s Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio was 14.3% as of July 31, 2026, unchanged from in the prior quarter and down from 14.8% a year earlier. Provisions for credit losses (PCL) declined to C$917 million from C$1.001 billion in the prior quarter and C$971 million in the same quarter last year.
- Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM) Announces Third Quarter 2026 Results; CM reported fiscal third-quarter non-GAAP EPS of C$2.73, up from C$2.16 in the prior-year quarter and C$0.21 above analyst expectations. Revenue increased 15.4% year over year to C$8.37 billion, exceeding consensus estimates by C$320 million. The bank’s Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio was 13.4% as of July 31, 2026, compared with 13.6% at the end of the previous quarter. Provision for credit losses totaled C$564 million, up C$5 million from the same quarter last year. Adjusted return on equity (ROE) improved to 16.8% from 14.2% a year earlier.
- Enbridge Inc. (ENB) and KKR Announce New Joint Venture to Support Investment in the Westcoast Pipeline System in BC; ENB announced that it will form a new joint venture with KKR, in collaboration with Apollo Global Management (APO), to fund the Aspen Point and Sunrise expansion programs of the Westcoast natural gas pipeline system in Canada. Under the agreement, KKR and Apollo will invest approximately C$2.7 billion to fund the expansions, including C$0.7 billion in cash to Enbridge at closing, in exchange for an indirect, cumulative 29% interest in the Westcoast system once Sunrise enters service.

- BW LPG Limited (BWLP) Reports Financial Results for Q2 2026; BWLP reported second-quarter GAAP EPS of $0.79, up from $0.23 in the prior-year period but $0.40 below analyst expectations. Revenue totaled $272.05 million, missing estimates by $54.8 million. Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) income from Shipping increased significantly to $274.9 million from $152.7 million a year earlier. For Q2 2026, the company had secured approximately 92% of available operating days at an average rate of around $88,000 per day.
- Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN) Announces Agreement to Sell Ownership Stake in Chilean Utility; AQN announced that it has reached an agreement to sell its approximately 64% ownership stake in Chilean water utility Suralis S.A. to a fund managed by Toesca S.A. Administradora General de Fondos, a Chilean asset manager specializing in alternative investments. Total proceeds from the sale are expected to be approximately $126.5 million, plus an earnout opportunity of up to $1.5 million. The proceeds are expected to be used to pay down debt and support capital recycling into the company’s $3.2 billion capital plan for 2026–2028.
