  • I purchased 25 shares of Capital Power Corporation (TSE) at C$62.15 per share, plus commission.

At today’s exchange rate, this purchase is expected to increase my annual net dividend income by approximately €32.70. Following the acquisition, my portfolio now holds a total of 85 Capital Power shares, with an average purchase price of C$59.88 per share and a yield on cost of 4.71%.

After the transaction, Capital Power represents approximately 0.36% of my portfolio by weight and contributes around 0.45% to my projected annual dividend income.

  • Resolutions of UPM-Kymmene Corporation's (UPM) Extraordinary General Meeting; The Extraordinary General Meeting of UPM resolved on the partial demerger of the Company and, as part of the demerger resolution and conditional upon the completion of the demerger, on the establishment of a new independent company to be named WISA Group Plc (”WISA”), the composition of the Board of Directors of WISA, and the authorization of the Board of Directors of WISA to issue shares and special rights entitling to shares in WISA and to decide on the acquisition of WISA’s own shares.

  • Chevron Corporation (CVX) Expands Position in Venezuela; CVX confirmed it will expand its operations in Venezuela. CVX reached agreements for its joint ventures in Venezuela that will provide enhanced fiscal, commercial, and legal terms and ​include plans to spend more than $7B over the next five ‌years, aiming to more than double production to ~600K bbl/day compared to 2026.

  • AbbVie Inc. (ABBV) Completes Acquisition of Apogee Therapeutics; ABBV announced that it has completed its acquisition of Apogee Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: APGE), which is now part of AbbVie. Under the terms of the agreement, Apogee shareholders received $135.11 per share in cash, for a total equity value of approximately $10.9 billion. ABBV reaffirmed its previously issued 2026 full-year adjusted diluted EPS guidance range of $13.87–$14.07. This guidance includes a $0.14-per-share dilutive impact from the completed Apogee acquisition.


  • General Dynamics Corporation (GD) Missions Systems was awarded a $194.14M contract modification to provide technical and engineering support for the Fire Control Subsystem.


September 4, 2026



  • General Dynamics Corporation (GD) announced its NASSCO unit won a $149.6M contract to maintain, modernize, and repair the USS Pinckney (DDG 91).


  • L3Harris Technologies, Inc. (LHX) won a $139M contract modification to produce low-profile photonics masts, spares, and engineering support for new and in-service submarines.
