A month has passed again and the first half of the year
is over. In June 2020 my portfolio dividend income was as follows:
My Total dividends in June are € 1,909.92 ($ 2,149.30).
After tax payments, net dividend income is € 1,418.85 ($ 1,596.68). In year
2019, my net dividend income in June was € 1,035.72 ($ 1,169.84). My
portfolio's net dividend income increased by € 383.13 or 37% to compared the
same month of last year. The main reason for the increase in dividend income is
that due to the covid-19 pandemic, Sampo paid in June this year, and not in May
as usual. In addition, there are a few new companies in the portfolio, such as
RTX, UNP and V.
This month's dividend increased my cumulative net
dividend income € 86,754.57.
After the first half of the year my net dividend income
is € 9,355.33 ($ 10,275.65), so I have now collected 52% of my target
net passive income for this year, which is €18,000.00. While at the moment it
looks like I’m going to achieve my goal, it’s very likely I’ll stay well below
it. As I have mentioned earlier some companies of my portfolio have already
cut, postponed or cancelled dividend payments. Because of this, it is highly
unlikely that I will reach my target for dividend income in 2020. I'm pretty
sure that the unpleasant news will be more during the summer and the rest of
the year. A few more dividend cuts and I can be happy if I achieve the same net
dividend income as last year, which was around 15,500.00. However, I will
continue, according to my own plan and make purchases from what I think are
good dividend-paying companies. One day, even this crisis will be over and then
the return to the “normal” situation starts. When it will happen, time will
show.

ReplyDeleteThe statement has been fairly consistent. Just need to keep staying consistent and don't knee jerk react to things. This is an unprecedented time and time always wins!
