July 2025 Dividend Income Report

August has already passed the halfway mark, summer is slowly drawing to a close, and autumn is around the corner. But before moving forward, it’s time to look back at my July dividend income results.

In July 2025, I received a total of €2,032.75 ($2,370.46) in dividend income. After taxes, my net dividend income amounted to €1,499.96 ($1,749.12).

This represents a decline compared to July 2024, when I recorded net dividend income of €1,673.04 ($1,762.61). On a year-over-year basis, that’s a decrease of €173.08, or 10.4%.

Breaking it down, my July net dividends equal:

  • €48.39 per day
  • €2.02 per hour

That’s money earned passively, regardless of what I was doing.

Looking at the bigger picture, for the first seven months of 2025, my net dividend income reached €14,833.50. On average, that’s:

  • €69.97 per day
  • €2.92 per hour

Compared to last year, there have been some notable changes in both my dividend income and portfolio structure:

  • One-off impact: In July 2024, Smurfit Westrock (SW) paid an extra dividend following its merger with WestRock.
  • New positions: I added two new dividend-paying ETFs—JEPI and JEPQ—along with individual positions in OZK and CNQ.
  • Exits: I closed out my holdings in BAX, MPW, and BCE.TO.
  • Spin-off: South Bow Corporation (SOBO.TO) entered the portfolio following its spin-off from TC Energy Corporation (TRP.TO).
  • Position growth: I also increased my holdings in JGPI to further strengthen my passive income stream.

This month’s dividend payments have brought my cumulative net dividend income to a total of €195,949.72.

Dividend Income 2025

With July’s dividends, I’ve now collected 59.3% of my 2025 net passive income target of €25,000.00. At this point, it appears unlikely that I’ll fully reach my goal by year-end.

Two main factors are driving this shortfall:

  • Unfavorable exchange rate fluctuations, which reduced the euro value of foreign dividends.
  • The dividend cut by Neste Corporation, which had a meaningful impact on my overall income stream.

Both challenges have weighed on my results, making it harder to stay on track toward my annual goal.

You can follow the development of my dividends here.

I hold long positions in all of the above-mentioned stocks, except for BAX, MPW and BCE.TO., which are no longer part of my portfolio.

Thanks for stopping by!
