The fourth month of the year is behind us, and summer is just around the corner — perfect timing for the April dividend update.
In April 2026, my portfolios delivered a gross total of €4,298.10 ($5,020.64) in dividend and distribution income. After withholding taxes, the net amount received was €3,192.16 ($3,728.86).
That breaks down to:
- €106.41 per day
- €4.43 per hour
…passive income flowing in regardless of what I was doing.
Year-over-Year Comparison
Compared to April 2025 (net €2,763.10), this is a solid increase of €429.06 or +15.5 %.The main driver was Nordea Bank (NDA) shifting its dividend payment from March last year into April this year. This timing difference created a nice boost in the headline number.

First Four Months & Cumulative Progress
January–April 2026 net dividends = €8,541.31 → Average €71.18 per day / €2.97 per hour YTD.
This month pushed my all-time cumulative net dividend income to €213,759.49.
2026 Target Update
With four months complete, I’ve reached 34.9 % of my €24,500 net passive income goal for the full year. The pace remains encouraging, though exchange rate movements (especially EUR vs USD and CAD) will continue to influence the final outcome.
Final Thoughts
April delivered one of the strongest months on record, helped by the dividend timing shift. The underlying portfolio continues to show healthy organic growth through dividend raises, reinvestment, and selective additions.
May tends to be a bit quieter, but the overall trajectory for 2026 looks solid. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the year develops.
As always — happy investing, and thanks for reading!
Disclosure: I hold long positions in all the above-mentioned stocks and ETFs except the exited MPW.
