On Wednesday, March 19th the Board of Directors of Power Corporation of Canada (TSE:POW) announced a quarterly dividend increase of from C$0.5625 to C$0.6125 per share that’s payable May 1, 2025 to holders of record March 31, 2025. This represents a 8.89% increase over the last quarterly dividend.
At the current price of C$50.46 (today's open), this increase will raise POW's dividend yield to 4.86%.

As an owner of 115 shares of POW, the recent dividend increase adds $11.97 to my projected annual net dividend income.
My expectation was for an increase of around 7%, so this was a positive and pleasant surprise.
This recent dividend increase marks the third consecutive raise I’ve received from Power Corporation of Canada since I acquired my first shares in March 2022. Over this period, POW’s quarterly dividend has grown nicely from C$0.525 to C$0.6125 per share, reflecting a 16.7% increase.
The moment of writing, POW’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.51% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 0.59%.
Following this increase, my yield on cost is 6.67%.
