October 2, 2023


  • I purchased 20 shares of Crown Castle Inc. (CCI) at $91.15 per share plus commission.


At today's exchange rate, that purchase 20 shares of CCI will increase €88.42 of my expected annual net dividend income. With purchase price $91.15 plus commission ($8.40) my starting yield on cost is 6.84%. After this acquisition, CCI’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.28% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 0.40%.


October 3, 2023


  • I purchased 15 shares of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE) at $51.40 per share plus commission.


At today's exchange rate, that purchase 15 shares of NEE will increase €19.83 of my expected annual net dividend income. With purchase price $51.40 plus commission ($5.23) my yield on cost is 2.81%. After this acquisition, NEE’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.33% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 0.27%.


These two acquisitions will increase the projected annual net dividend income of my portfolio to €22 300,00.

  • Viatris Inc. (VTRS) Announces Agreements on Remaining Planned Divestitures; VTRS has received an offer for the divestiture of all it's over the counter business and has also agreed to sell its women's healthcare unit, its active pharmaceutical segment in India and commercialization rights in certain non-core markers. The gross proceeds from all the divestment under the terms of the deals are up to $6.94B.


  • Lockheed Martin Corporation's (LMT) unit secured a $746.27 million contract to support integration efforts for the government of Switzerland into the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program as a Foreign Military Sales customer.

  • Intel Corporation (INTC) Announces Intent to Operate Programmable Solutions Group as Standalone Business; INTC announced its intent to separate its Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) operations into a standalone business. This will give PSG the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors. Standalone operations for PSG are expected to begin Jan. 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. Intel expects to report PSG as a separate business unit when it releases first-quarter 2024 financials. Over the next two to three years, Intel intends to conduct an IPO for PSG and may explore opportunities with private investors to accelerate the business’s growth, with Intel retaining a majority stake.



October 4, 2023


  • Dominion Energy, Inc. (D) Proposes New Solar Projects for Virginia Customers; D proposed more than a dozen new solar projects for Virginia customers. If approved, the projects will generate 772 megawatts (MW) of carbon-free electricity, enough to power nearly 200,000 Virginia homes at peak output. The proposal includes 6 solar projects totaling 337 MW that will be owned or acquired by Dominion Energy Virginia. It also includes 13 power purchase agreements (PPAs) totaling 435 MW with independently owned solar projects. The PPAs were selected through a competitive solicitation process.


  • McDonald's Corporation (MCD) Raises Quarterly Cash Dividend; MCD's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1.67 per share of common stock payable on December 15, 2023 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 1, 2023. The 10% increase over the Company’s previous quarterly dividend reflects continued confidence in the Accelerating the Arches growth strategy and a focus on driving long-term profitable growth for all stakeholders.

  • AbbVie Inc. (ABBV) Exercises Exclusive Right to Acquire Mitokinin; ABBV announced that it has exercised its exclusive right and completed the acquisition of Mitokinin, a discovery-stage biotechnology company developing a potentially first-in-class disease-modifying treatment for Parkinson's Disease (PD). Mitokinin's lead compound, a selective PINK1 activator, is designed to address mitochondrial dysfunction that is believed to be a major contributing factor to Parkinson's disease pathogenesis and progression.

  • Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) Increases Quarterly Dividend; LMT board of directors has authorized a fourth quarter 2023 dividend of $3.15 per share, 5% increase from prior dividend of $3.00. The dividend is payable on Dec. 29, 2023, to holders of record as of the close of business on Dec. 1, 2023. This marks the 21st consecutive year of dividend increases for the company. LTM's board has also authorized the purchase of up to an additional $6 billion of Lockheed Martin common stock under its share repurchase program, nearly doubling total authorization of the current program to $13 billion for future purchases.
