Tuesday, February 23rd the Board of Directors of The Home Depot, Inc. (HD) announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 1.50 to $ 1.65 per share that’s payable March 25, 2021 to holders of record March 11, 2021. This represents a 10% increase over the last quarterly dividend.
This is the 136th consecutive quarter the Company has paid a cash dividend.
With current price $ 261.68 (today's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 2.52%.
HD is a Dividend Contenders with a 12 year streak of dividend increases. Dividend growth rates for 1, 3, 5 and 10 years are 10.3, 19.0, 20.5 and 20.0 (Dividend Champions.xls)
Since I own 15 shares of The Home Depot, this will increase my portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by $ 6.71.
This increase was in line with my expectations and I will be happy to take it.
This is the second dividend increase I've received from HD since initiating a position in March 2019. (More here) During that period, the quarterly dividend has risen nicely from $ 1.36 to $ 1.65, or 21.3 percent.
This increase raises my YOC to 3.58%.
Wednesday, February 24th the Board of Directors of Eaton Corporation plc (ETN) announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.73 to $ 0.76 per share that’s payable March 30, 2021 to holders of record March 16, 2021. This represents a 4.11% increase over the last quarterly dividend.
Eaton has paid dividends on its shares every year since 1923.
With current price $ 134.26 (today's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 2.26%.
Eaton is a Dividend Contenders with a 12 year streak of dividend increases. Dividend growth rates for 1, 3, 5 and 10 years are 2.8, 6.8, 5.8 and 10.5 (Dividend Champions.xls)
Since I own 30 shares of Eaton, this will increase my portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by $ 2.68.
Eaton’s dividend raise was in line with my expectations.
This is the sixth dividend increase I've received from ETN since initiating a position in July 2015. (More here) During that period, the quarterly dividend has risen passably from $ 0.55 to $ 0.76, or 38.2 percent.
This increase raises my YOC to 4.82%.
