Dividend Increase - Kimberly-Clark Corporation (KMB)

On Tuesday, January 28th, the Board of Directors of Kimberly-Clark Corporation (KMB) announced a quarterly dividend increase from $1.22 to $1.26 per share. This represents a 3.28% increase over the previous quarterly dividend. The new dividend is payable on April 2, 2025, to shareholders of record as of March 7, 2025.

This represents the 53rd consecutive year that the company has increased its dividend to shareholders.

With current price $131.41 (yesterday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 3.84%.

KMB is a Dividend Champions with a 53 year streak of dividend increases. Dividend growth rates for 1, 3, 5 and 10 years are 3.0, 2.5, 3.4 and 4.0 (Dividend Champions.xls)

As an owner of 13 shares of KMB, the recent dividend increase adds $1.55 to my projected annual net dividend income. While it’s a small boost, it’s another step in the steady compounding process that builds long-term financial stability.

Kimberly-Clark continues to uphold its reputation as a Dividend Champion, extending its 53-year streak of annual dividend increases. However, this year’s increase was somewhat underwhelming. While I was expecting a raise of just over 4%, the actual increase fell short of that mark. The modest increase is consistent with the company’s guidance from a year ago, so it wasn’t entirely unexpected.

This recent dividend increase marks the 7th consecutive raise I’ve received from Kimberly-Clark Corporation since initiating my position in February 2018. Over this time, the quarterly dividend has grown from $1.00 to $1.26 per share, representing a 26% increase.

With this increase, my yield on cost now stands at 4.69%.
