  • I purchased 50 shares of JPM Global Equity Premium Income UCITS ETF (JGPI.DE) at €24.18 per share plus commission.


Based on the latest announcement, JGPI pays a dividend of $0.1635 per month. If the dividend remains at this level in the future, it will mean that, at today's exchange rate, that purchase 50 shares of JGPI will increase €63.65 of my expected annual net dividend income. After this acquisition my yield on cost is 6.07%, JGPI’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.89% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 1.43%. For now, my plan is to increase the amount of JGPI in my portfolio on a monthly basis.


  • I purchased 30 shares of Essential Utilities, Inc. (WTRG) at $37.75 per share plus commission.


At today's exchange rate, that purchase 30 shares of WTRG will increase €25.47 of my expected annual net dividend income. Following this acquisition, the portfolio now contains a total of 90 Essential Utilities shares at an average purchase price of $36.20 and yield on cost is 3.39%. After this acquisition, WTRG ’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.48% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 0.34%.

  • AT&T's Inc. (T) wireless service subsidiary among other companies was awarded a $267M ID/IQ, firm-fixed-price, ceiling-price contract to provide commercial wireless mobility services, including all wireless technologies and related operations, to include software, hardware, firmware, and equipment.


  • Lockheed Martin Corporation's (LMT) Missiles and Fire Control was awarded an Other Transaction Authority agreement with a ceiling of ~$170M to evaluate enabling technologies for possible integration into a prototype weapon system.

  • Duke Energy Corporation (DUK) Reports First-Quarter 2024 Financial Results; DUK reports first quarter Non-GAAP EPS of $1.44, 20% above from last year and $0.06 more than expected. Revenue grew 5.4% to $7.67 billion, topping estimates by $380 million. Management is reaffirming its 2024 adjusted EPS guidance range of $5.85 to $6.10 and long-term adjusted EPS growth rate of 5% to 7% through 2028 off the 2024 midpoint of $5.98.


  • Cardinal Health, Inc. (CAH) Increased Quarterly Dividend; CAH announced that its Board of Directors approved an increase to its quarterly dividend, to $0.5056 per share, 1% increase from prior dividend of $0.5006. The dividend will be payable on July 15, 2024 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 1, 2024.


  • Main Street Capital Corporation (MAIN) Announces Monthly Dividend Increase and Supplemental Dividend; MAIN announce that its Board of Directors declared regular monthly cash dividends of $0.245 per share for each of July, August and September 2024. These monthly dividends represent a 2.1% increase from the regular monthly dividends declared for the second quarter of 2024 and a 6.5% increase from the regular monthly dividends paid in the third quarter of 2023. In addition MAIN's Board of Directors declared a supplemental cash dividend of $0.30 per share payable in June 2024.

  • Ahold Delhaize N.V. (AMS:AD) Reports First Quarter Results; AD reports Q1 Non-GAAP EPS of €0.59, beating analyst estimates by €0.01 but decreased 2.9% compared to the prior year. Revenue of €21.7 billion beating analyst estimates by €280 million and increased 0.4% versus the same quarter last year. Management reiterates its 2024 full-year outlook, underlying EPS at around 2023 levels, free cash flow of around €2.3 billion and net capital expenditures of around €2.2 billion.


  • Emerson Electric Co. (EMR) Reports Second Quarter 2024 Results; EMR reports Q2 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.36 up 25% versus prior year and $0.11 ahead of estimates. Revenue of $4.38 billion beats analyst estimates by $90 million and increased 16.5% versus the same quarter last year. Management guides for 2024 net sales growth 15% - 16% and adjusted EPS $5.40 - $5.50.


  • Nutrien Ltd. (NTR) Reports First Quarter 2024 Results; NTR reports Q1 Non-GAAP EPS of $0.46 down 59% versus prior year but $0.08 ahead of estimates. Revenue of $5.39 billion beats analyst estimates by $2100 million but decreased 11.8% versus the same quarter last year.




  • Canadian Utilities Limited (TSE:CU) announces its largest ever energy infrastructure project; CU unveiled plans to build its largest-ever energy infrastructure project, a new natural gas pipeline and other infrastructure in Alberta. CU said the ~C$2B Yellowhead Mainline project will consist of building 200 km of high-pressure natural gas pipeline and related control and compression facilities that will run from Peers, Alberta, to the northeast Edmonton area.

  • Viatris Inc. (VTRS) Reports First Quarter 2024 Financial Results; VTRS reports Non-GAAP EPS of $0.67, down 13% versus prior year but in line with estimates. Revenue of $3.66 billion misses analyst estimates by $30 million and decreased 1.6% versus the same quarter last year. For 2024 Management guides revenue from $14.98 to $15.48 billion and adjusted EPS from $2.66 to $2.81.




  • TELUS Corporation (TSE:T) Reports Financial Results For First Quarter 2024; T reported quarterly adjusted earnings of C$0.26 per share for the quarter ended in March, lower than the same quarter last year, when the company reported EPS of C$0.27. The mean expectation of thirteen analysts for the quarter was for earnings of C$0.23. Revenue fell 2% to C$4.87 billion from a year ago, analysts expected C$5.02 billion. Management reiterated its financial targets for 2024, including adjusted EBITDA growth of 5.5% to 7.5%, consolidated capital expenditures of about $2.6 billion and free cash flow of about $2.3 billion.


  • TELUS Corporation (TSE:T) Increased Quarterly Dividend; T's Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.3891 per share payable on July 2, 2024 to holders of record on June 10, 2024. This quarterly dividend reflects an increase of 7.0% from the $0.3636 per share dividend declared one year earlier.

  • Enbridge Inc. (ENB) Reports First Quarter 2024 Financial Results; ENB reports Non-GAAP EPS of C$0.92, up 8% versus prior year and C$0.10 ahead of estimates. Revenue fell 8.6% to C$11.04 billion, compared with analysts' expectations of C$12.24 billion. Distributable cash flow of C$3.5 billion, an increase of 9%, compared with C$3.2 billion in 2023. Management reaffirms its 2024 Base Business financial guidance for EBITDA and DCF.
