Dividend Income - April 2022


The fourth month of the year is over, May is also almost halfway through and summer starts in a few weeks. In April 2022 my portfolio dividend income was as follows:






My Total dividends in April are € 6,027.93 ($ 6,536.08). After taxes, my net dividend income is € 4,478.04 ($ 4,855.82). In year 2021, my net dividend income in April was € 3,322.10 ($ 3,969.26). My portfolio's net dividend income increased by € 1,155.94 or 34.8% to compared the same month of previous year. Compared to the previous year, there have been many changes to the dividend income of April: the most significant is the payment of the FORTUM dividend in April, compared to May in 2021, KESKO changed its semi-annual dividend to a quarterly dividend, four new dividend payers have joined to the portfolio, namely NDA, EIX, STOR and ONL besides VTR, VER and IPL.TO has left it. Additional purchases such as AQN.TO and TRP.TO as well some nice dividend increases like KESKO, AD.AS, BNS.TO and TD.TO. Recent exchange rate developments have also had a positive impact on the portfolio's dividend income in euro.


This net passive income of €4,478.04 means that I received a whopping €149.29 every day or €6.22 per every hour during April, no matter what I did. For the first four months of the year, the corresponding amounts are €72.33 per day and €3.01 per hour.





This month's dividend increased my cumulative net dividend income € 120,498.85.

  • Total expenditure for April was € 1,303.59, year total for to date € 5,167.36


  • The result for April was € 3,174.45, year total for to date € 3,512.32



I have now collected 43.4% of my target net passive income for this year, which is € 20,000.00.
