Yesterday August 2, the Board of Directors of Illinois Tool Works Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 1.00 to $ 1.07 per ordinary share that’s payable October 9, 2019 to holders of record September 30, 2019. This represents a 7.00% increase to regular quarterly dividends.
This increase is consistent with the company’s previously
announced plan to increase its dividend payout ratio to approximately 50
percent of free cash flow.
With current price $ 151.67 (yesterday's close), this
raise brings their dividend yield to 2.82 %.
Since I own 20 shares of ITW, this will increase my
portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by $ 4.17.
This increase raises my YOC to 3.31%.
