November 11, 2024



  • Baxter International Inc. (BAX) Cuts Dividend; BAX declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.17 per share, -41.4% decrease from prior dividend of $0.29. This dividend represents the new quarterly dividend rate for Baxter anticipating the divestiture of its Kidney Care business segment to Carlyle (CG), which is expected to close in late 2024 or early 2025.


  • Cardinal Health, Inc. (CAH) Announces Two Strategic Additions To Its Portfolio; CAH will buy a majority stake in GI Alliance (GIA), a gastroenterology management services organization, from a combination of GIA physician owners and funds managed by affiliates of Apollo (APO) for approximately $2.8B in cash, which will represent 71% ownership. GIA will operate as a platform within Cardinal Health's Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions segment. CAH will also acquire the Advanced Diabetes Supply Group (ADSG), diabetic medical supplies providers, for approximately $1.1 billion in cash. ADSG will merge with Cardinal Health's at-Home Solutions business.

  • Mandatum plc (MANTA) Interim Report 1 January–30 September 2024; MANTA reports third quarter EPS of €0.07, 47% below last year's result and €0.01 less than expected. Profit before taxes decreased 46% to €45.2 million, missing estimates by €7.7 million. Client assets under management (AuM) increased by 18% from the previous year and amounted to €13.3 (11.2) billion. Net flow increased by 19% to €113.8 (95.9) million. Solvency ratio adjusted for dividend accrual was 224.3%.


  • The Home Depot, Inc. (HD) Announces Third Quarter Fiscal 2024 Results; HD reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $3.78, 1.8% below from last year but $0.13 more than expected. Revenue grew 6.6% to $40.2 billion, topping estimates $980 million. Management updated fiscal 2024 guidance, Total sales to increase approximately 4% and adjusted diluted earnings-per-share to decline approximately 1% from $15.25 in fiscal 2023.




  • Power Corporation of Canada (TSE:POW) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Financial Results; POW reported quarterly adjusted earnings of C$0.84 per share for the quarter , lower than the same quarter last year, when the company reported EPS of C$1.52. The mean expectation of eight analysts for the quarter was for earnings of C$1.14 per share. Revenue was C$4.62 billion. Adjusted net asset value per share was C$57.92 at September 30, 2024, compared with C$53.53 at December 31, 2023.The Corporation's book value per share was C$34.00 at September 30, 2024, compared with C$32.49 at December 31, 2023.

  • Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) Reports First Quarter Earnings; CSCO reports Q1 Non-GAAP EPS of $0.91, 18% below last year's result but $0.04 more than expected. Revenue fell 5.7% to $13.84 billion, beating analyst estimates by $70 million. For Q2 Management guides Revenue of $13.75 billion to $13.95 and Non-GAAP of $0.89 to $0.91, For FY 2025 Revenue of $55.3 billion to $56.3 billion and Non-GAAP EPS of $3.60 to $3.66.
