  • L3 Technologies Communication Systems (LHX) is awarded a $587.4M cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the design, production and delivery of electronic warfare test articles and fleet prototypes.

  • NCC AB (NCC) to refurbish hotel in Helsinki; NCC has been commissioned by Exilion to refurbish a future Scandic Hotel in Helsinki, Finland. The property also contains office premises, retail space and restaurants. The order value is approximately SEK 180 million.


  • The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) Reports Third Quarter Results; BNS reports third quarter Non-GAAP EPS of C$1.63, 5.2% below from last year but C$0.01 more than expected. Total revenue for the quarter ended April 30 was C$8.36 billion, up from C$8.07 billion a year earlier. Analysts expected C$8.53 billion. Reported a Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital ratio of 13.3%, up from 12.7% last year. Reported total provision for credit losses of C$1.05 billion, up C$45 million from the previous quarter and C$233 million higher than a year earlier.

  • ONEOK, Inc. (OKE) to Acquire Medallion and Controlling Interest in EnLink from Global Infrastructure Partners in Transactions Valued at $5.9 Billion; OKE announced that it has executed a definitive agreement with Global Infrastructure Partners under which OKE will acquire GIP's entire interest in EnLink Midstream, LLC (NYSE: ENLC), consisting of 43% of EnLink's outstanding common units for $14.90 per unit and 100% of the interests in the managing member for $300 million, for total cash consideration of approximately $3.3 billion. OKE and GIP also entered into a separate definitive agreement under which ONEOK will acquire from GIP all of the equity interests in Medallion Midstream, LLC, the largest privately held crude gathering and transportation system in the Permian's Midland Basin, for $2.6 billion in cash representing approximately 6.3 times estimated 2025 EBITDA, including expected base case run-rate synergies.


  • Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) was awarded a $3.9B U.S. Navy contract to support F-35 Lightening II aircraft for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps. LMT was also awarded a separate $1B modification to a previously awarded contract to support F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) laboratory facilities and F-35 developmental flight test activities. Additionally, LMT was awarded a $194.3M modification to a previously awarded contract.


  • Royal Bank of Canada (RY) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Results; RY reported fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings of C$3.26 per diluted share, up from C$2.83 a year earlier. Expectation for the quarter was for earnings of C$2.95 per share. Total revenue for the fiscal quarter ended July 31 was CA$14.63 billion, up from CA$12.98 billion a year earlier, analysts expected C$14.37 billion. CET1 ratio at 13.0%, up 20 bps from the prior quarter. Total PCL of C$659 million increased C$43 million or 7% from a year ago.

  • Best Buy Co., Inc. (BBY) Reports Second Quarter Results; BBY reports Q2 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.34, beating estimates by $0.18 and 9.8% higher than the prior year. Revenue fell 3.0% to $9.29 billion, beating analyst estimates by $40 million. For FY25 Management guides revenue of $41.3 billion to $41.9 billion, which compares to prior guidance of $41.3 billion to $42.6 billion and Non-GAAP diluted EPS of $6.10 to $6.35, which compares to prior guidance of $5.75 to $6.20.



  • RTX Corporation (RTX) was awarded a $1.04B fixed-price-incentive U.S. Air Force contract on Thursday for Group B hardware, spares, and support equipment.



  • Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM) Announces Third Quarter 2024 Results; CM reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of C$1.93, 27% above from last year and C$0.19 more than expected. Revenue grew 12.8% to C$6.6 billion, which was C$340 million more than expected. CET1 ratio was 13.3% at July 31, 2024, compared with 13.1% at the end of the prior quarter. Provision for credit losses was $483 million, down $253 million from the same quarter last year.
