My Portfolio's Transactions:

April 5, 2024

  • I purchased 51 shares of Global Equity Premium Income UCITS ETF (JGPI.DE) at €24.11 per share plus commission.

Based on the latest announcement, JGPI pays a dividend of $0.1316 per month. If the dividend remains at this level in the future, it will mean that, at today's exchange rate, that purchase 51 shares of JGPI will increase €51.96 of my expected annual net dividend income. With purchase price €24.11 plus commission (€2.50) my yield on cost is 6.07%. After this acquisition, JGPI’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.71% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 0.93%. For now, my plan is to increase the amount of JGPI in my portfolio on a monthly basis.

  1. Hi, I have one question about JGPI. I assume you bought dist-version of the ETF and at least based on Nordnet it looks like the fund is in Germany(xetra). Does this mean you have to pay extra withholding tax for the dividends?

    1. Hi, yes I bought JGPI, listed in Germany, but it is registered in Ireland (ISIN: IE0003UVYC20) and at least the first three months of dividends have been paid without any withholding tax and it shoud continue like that way.

Thanks for visiting and sorry foe the late reply!

    1. Hi

Yes, you are right. ETF distributions are taxed as capital gains at 30%, while dividends are taxed at 25.5%.
