The fourth month of the year is over, May is also past the halfway point and summer starts in a few weeks. In April 2023 my portfolio dividend income was as follows:
My Total dividends in April are €4,279.75 ($4,697.479). After taxes, my net dividend income is €3,181.54 ($3,492.06). In year 2022, my net dividend income in April was €4,478.04 ($4,855.924). My portfolio's net dividend income decreased by €1,296.50 or 29% to compared the same month of previous year. Compared to the previous year, there have been several changes to the dividend income of April: Changes to previous dividend payments schedules, UPM changed annual dividends to semi-annual and TELIA changed semi-annual to quarterly. Two new dividend payers have joined to the portfolio, namely BBY and MPW and three FORTUM, BONAVA and STOR has left it, additional purchase such EIX, MAIN, O and CM.TO. Compared to a year ago, the holdings also included some solid dividend increases like NESTE, AD, PEP, ITW and NTR but unfortunately also dividend cut from AQN and SDIV.
This net passive income of €3,181.54 means that I received a reasonable €106.05 every day or €4.42 per every hour during April, no matter what I did. For the first four months of the year, the corresponding amounts are are €65.33 per day and €2.72 per hour.
This month's dividend increased my cumulative net dividend income € 142,154.25.
Net income / expenditure
- Net passive income for April was €3,181.54, for the first four months it totals €7,839.36
- Total expenditure for April was €1,503.46, for the first four months it totals €5409.05
- The result for April was €1,678.08, for the first four months it totals €2,430.31
I have now collected 34.8% of my target net passive income for this year, which is € 22,500.00. After a few dividend cut announcements such as AQN, INTC and VFC and the weakening of the dollar, it is already clear that I will not reach my target in euros this year. At the moment it looks like I will miss my target by about €1000.
