- Duke Energy Corporation (DUK) reports first quarter 2021 financial results; DUK reports adjusted EPS of $1.25, a 0.81% increase from the previous year and $0.05 better than expected. Revenue increased 3.4% to $6.15 billion, $60 million lower than expected.
- Viatris Inc. (VTRS) Reports First Quarter 2021 Financial Results; VTRS reports first quarter adjusted EPS of $-0.86, $0.76 lower than expected. Revenue increased 69.9% to $4.4 billion, topping estimates by $200 million. VTRS’s Board of Directors Declares a Quarterly Dividend of $0.11 per Share.
- Archer-Daniels-Midland Company (ADM) to Build New Soy Crushing Facility in North Dakota; ADM announced its plan to build North Dakota’s first-ever dedicated soybean crushing plant and refinery to meet fast-growing demand from food, feed, industrial and biofuel customers, including producers of renewable diesel.
- Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (APD) Reports Fiscal 2021 Second Quarter Results; APD reports second quarter adjusted EPS of $2.13, 4% lower than the prior year and $0.02 lower than expected. Revenue improved 13.1% to $2.5 billion, $150 million higher than expected.

- Chevron Corporation (CVX) and Noble Midstream Partners LP Complete Merger Transaction; CVX and Noble Midstream Partners LP (NASDAQ: NBLX) announced today that the companies have completed the previously announced acquisition, which resulted in Noble Midstream becoming an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of Chevron.
- May 12, 2021
- Fortum Corporation (FORTUM) January-March 2021 Interim Report; FORTUM reports first quarter of fiscal year 2021 EPS of €1.23, a 215% increase from the prior year and €0.10 above estimates.
- Ahold Delhaize N.V. (AD) reports Q1 results; AD reports GAAP EPS of €0.53, a 5.9% decrease from the previous year. Revenue improved 5.8% to €18,264 million.
- Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) Announces Intent to Acquire Socio Labs; CSCO announced the intent to acquire privately-held, U.S.-based Socio Labs, a modern event technology platform that provides event organizers with everything they need to successfully host in-person, virtual or hybrid events of any size and format. Together with Socio Labs, Cisco will enrich Webex Events beyond meetings, webinars and webcasts to also include large-scale, multi-session hybrid events and conferences.
- Duke Energy Corporation (DUK) landfill solar project approved; North Carolina regulators recently approved Duke Energy’s 5-megawatt (MW) solar project in Buncombe County – the company’s first that will be located on a retired county landfill.
- T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. Reports Preliminary Month-End Assets Under Management for April 2021; TROW reports preliminary assets under management of $1.59T as of April 30 rises 4.9% from $1.52T at the end of March.
- Lazard Ltd (LAZ) Reports April 2021 Assets Under Management; LAZ reports preliminary assets under management of $274.4B at April 30, 2021 increased from $264.9B at March 31.
- Emera Incorporated (EMA) Reports 2021 First Quarter Financial Results; EMA reports GAAP EPS of C$1.08, a 49.5% decrease from the previous year. Revenue fell 1.8% to C$1.61 billion.

- Union Pacific Corporation (UNP) Announces 10% Dividend Increase; UNP announced that its Board of Directors today voted to increase the quarterly dividend on the company’s common shares by 10% to $1.07 per share. The dividend is payable June 30, 2021, to shareholders of record May 28, 2021. Union Pacific has paid dividends on its common stock for 122 consecutive years.
May 14, 2021
- UPM-Kymmene Corporation (UPM) sells its Shotton paper mill to Eren Paper Ltd; UPM signed an agreement to sell its Shotton newsprint mill site in North Wales, United Kingdom and all related assets to Eren Paper Ltd, a subsidiary of Modern Karton Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.Ş., the containerboard and corrugated packaging business of the Turkish industrial conglomerate Eren Holding (“Eren”). The closing of the transaction is planned for late Q3 2021.
- General Mills Inc. (GIS) Continues Portfolio Reshaping Strategy with Acquisition of Tyson Foods’ Pet Treats Business; GIS announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tyson Foods’ (NYSE: TSN) pet treats business for $1.2 billion in cash in a transaction that provides an estimated tax benefit of $225 million, equating to an effective purchase price of $975 million.
