Yesterday Inter Pipeline Ltd. announced that its board of directors has approved a 3.7 percent increase to its monthly cash dividend from CA$ 0.135 to CA$ 0.14 per share. On an annualized basis, dividends will increase by CA$ 0.06 per share from CA$ 1.62 to CA$ 1.68. Shareholders of record as of November 22, 2017 will be eligible for Inter Pipeline's new monthly dividend rate of CA$ 0.14 per share, with payment expected on or about December 15, 2017.
Since I own 325 shares this will increase my yearly net
dividends by CA$ 14.53.
That increase rises my YOC to 6.56%

Hi Hawk, how much do you pay withholding tax of Inter Pipeline's dividends? I received my first dividends and they took 25% even tough it should be 15% according to the tax agreement. I have my shares in Nordea.
ReplyDeleteHi, I pay 15% withholding tax, I have my shares in LYNX, but planned to move those to Nordea, as well as some other Canadian also, but now need to maybe think that again.
DeleteCheers,
DH
Ok, thanks. I will ask Nordea what's the deal. I'll let you know then.

DeleteHi, I just got answer from Nordea (took only two weeks!?). Nordea apply 25% tax rate for every Canadian companies and you have to deal with tax authorities by yourself. For US companies tax rate is 15%.
