Dividend Income - July 2015

Again, one month passed and it is time to report my dividend income. In July 2015 my portfolio dividend income was as follows:

Quarterly dividends received from:

PepsiCo Inc. (PEP) - €63.56 ($70.25)
Baxter International Inc. (BAX) - €28.22 ($31.20)
TELUS Corporation (TU) - €30.13 ($33.40)
The Coca-Cola Company (KO) - €44.66 ($49.50)
Altria Group Inc. (MO) - €82.08 ($91.00)
Philip Morris International Inc. (PM) - €77.25 ($85.00)
W. P. Carey Inc. (WPC) - €26.14 ($28.62)
The Kraft Heinz Co. (KHC) - €1548.00 ($1705.00)
General Electric Co. (GE) - €37.33 ($41.40)
Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO) - €47.83 ($58.50)
Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD.TO) - €42.57 ($48.36)

Monthly dividends received from:

Global X SuperDividend ETF (SDIV) - €65.28 ($72.30)

My Total dividends in July are € 2093.05 ($2309.53). After tax payments, net dividend income is € 1556.38 ($1717.35). In year 2014, my net dividend income in July was € 336.82. A reason why my dividend income in July was much higher compared to last year is a special dividend €1116.28 of Kraft Heinz. My portfolio's net dividend income increased by 362% compared to last year in July. When I reduce the special dividend, my net dividend income is €440.10, which is 31% higher as last year in July.

This month's dividend increased my cumulative net dividend income € 24019.29.

My net dividend income YTD is € 7732.19, so I have now collected 89% of my target net dividend income for this year, which is €8700. Thank you for Kraft Heinz, it seems that without any major surprises and exchange rate changes my net dividend income this year will cross the € 10k.

  1. Seeing a lot of nice updates at the moment thanks to the Kraft Heinz deal. Hopefully you can find somewhere nice to put that cash to work for you!

Great update all in all though. Even without the special dividend your growth is looking very good indeed!

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Hi DH,
Wow, that special dividend from Kraft-Heinz sure is massive. I haven't read about this one before. I'm gonna read up on it and get the facts behind the special dividend. Fun to know.

    Best regards petrusko

  4. Another month closer to FI Dividend Hawk. Isn't it a great feeling to have 12 companies/stocks pay you dividends this past month. I know July included a special dividend but overall you've had a great year this year compared to last. Keep up the great work!

Best wishes and continued success! AFFJ

  5. Well done DH! So far I've been collecting dividend aristocrats and some others to my humble portfolio...but recently I've pondered about adding something new, maybe starting a position in "Global X SuperDividend ETF". It'd give direct access to dividend stream of about one hundred (new) companies. Have you been happy with it?

    1. Hello Biini and thanks! Collecting dividend aristocrats are a very good way to build up a portfolio. With SDIV you really get a great diversification and solid monthly income. I have been fine with SDIV, albeit it certainly don’t always pay increasing distributions, the fee is slightly higher than its competitors, but the yield correspondingly higher.

      Thanks for stopping by!
