Dividend Income - December 2016

Again, one month passed and it is time to report my dividend income. In December 2016 my portfolio dividend income was as follows:

Quarterly dividends received from:

Intel Corporation (INTC) - € 97.80 ($ 104.00)
Pfizer Inc. (PFE) - € 56.44 ($ 60.00)

Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) - € 16.74 ($ 18.00)
Unilever N.V. (AMS:UNA) - € 16.00 ($ 17.00)
Emerson Electric Co. (EMR) - € 18.18 ($ 19.20)
Magna International Inc. (MGA) - € 11.83 ($ 12.50)
Chevron Corporation (CVX) - € 60.98 ($ 64.80)
Target Corporation (TGT) - € 56.47 ($ 60.00)
Flowers Foods Inc. (FLO) - € 28.32 ($ 29.60)
McDonald's Corporation (MCD) - € 18.05 ($ 18.80)

The Coca-Cola Company (KO) - € 50.25 ($ 52.50)
V.F. Corporation (VFC) - € 10.11 ($ 10.50)
Triton International Limited Co (TRTN) - €43.05 ($ 45.00)
Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD) - € 15.68 ($ 16.45
T. Rowe Price Group Inc. (TROW) - € 28.31 ($ 29.70)

Monthly dividends received from:

Global X SuperDividend ETF (SDIV) - € 66.88 ($ 72.30)
Inter Pipeline Ltd. (IPL.TO) - € 19.37 ($ 20.25

My Total dividends in December are € 722.40 ($766.10). After tax payments, net dividend income is € 535.18 ($567.49). In year 2015, my net dividend income in December was € 1010.06. My portfolio's net dividend income decreased by 47% compared to last year in December. The main reason for such a large decline in dividend income is the end of the dividend payment of Avance Gas. Avance's dividend reduction was expected, but I wasn't thinking it will completely run out.

This month's dividend increased my cumulative net dividend income € 37,631.44.

My total net dividend income for 2016 reached € 10,201.25, so I clearly missed my target net dividend income for this year, which was €11,150.00. As I already mentioned in my June dividend income report, it was clear, that I am not going to achieve my objective this year. I'm looking positively forward and I try to work hard to achieve my financial independence by the end of 2020.

You can follow the development of my dividends here.

Full Disclosure: Long on above mentioned stocks.

  4. Congrats on another strong month. Although the dividend stinks and really impact the year on year growth, we just have to stay the course!
