  • Essential Utilities, Inc. (WTRG) Reports First Quarter 2025 Results; WTRG reported first-quarter GAAP EPS of $1.03, representing a 6.2% year-over-year increase and exceeding analyst expectations by $0.20. Revenue grew 28% to $783.63 million, beating estimates by $93.6 million. For 2025, management expects diluted EPS in the range of $2.07 to $2.11, and reaffirms its long-term target to grow earnings per share at a compound annual growth rate of 5% to 7% over the three-year period through 2027, based on adjusted 2024 EPS of $1.97 (non-GAAP).


  • RTX Corporation (RTX) has been awarded a $2.13B modification to a previously awarded U.S. missile defense agency contract.



  • Main Street Capital Corporation (MAIN) Announces Partial Exit of Portfolio Investment; MAIN has fully exited its debt investments and partially exited its equity investment in Nebraska Vet AcquireCo, dba Heritage Vet Partners, upon the completion of a majority recapitalization with a new financial sponsor. MAIN realized an annual internal rate of return of 72.2% and a 10.0 times money invested return on its equity investment in Heritage.

  • Power Corporation of Canada (TSE:POW) Reports First Quarter 2025 Financial Results; POW reported quarterly adjusted earnings of C$1.22 per share for the quarter ended March, higher than the same quarter last year, when the company reported EPS of C$1.09. The mean expectation of analysts for the quarter was for earnings of C$1.27 per share. Adjusted net asset value per share was $68.99 at March 31, 2025, compared with $60.44 at December 31, 2024. Book value per share was $36.10 at March 31, 2025, compared with $35.56 at December 31, 2024.

  • Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) Reports Third Quarter Earnings; CSCO reported third-quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.96, representing a 9% year-over-year increase and beating analyst expectations by $0.04. Revenue for the quarter totaled $14.15 billion, surpassing estimates by $90 million and growing 11.4% compared to the same period last year. For fiscal year 2025, management is guiding for revenue between $56.5 billion and $56.7 billion, and non-GAAP EPS in the range of $3.77 to $3.79.


  • General Dynamics Corporation (GD) has been awarded a $216.5M U.S. Navy modification against a previously awarded contract.

  • RTX Corporation (RTX) has been awarded a $580.59M U.S. Navy contract for the production and delivery of low rate initial production Lot V of the Next-Generation Jammer Mid-Band ship sets.


  • Enbridge Inc. (ENB) Advances Historic Equity Ownership with First Nations on B.C. Natural Gas Pipeline System; ENB announced an agreement whereby the Stonlasec8 Indigenous Alliance Limited Partnership (the "First Nations Partnership"), which currently represents 36 First Nations in B.C., will make an investment of approximately CAD$715 million in Enbridge's Westcoast natural gas pipeline system, resulting in the First Nations Partnership owning a 12.5% interest in that system, subject to certain closing conditions as well as customary closing adjustments.


  • South Bow Corporation (SOBO) Reports First-Quarter 2025 Results; SOBO reported adjusted earnings of $0.47 per share for the quarter, exceeding analyst expectations by $0.06, despite a 14.6% decline year-over-year. Revenue came in at $498 million, down 8.5% compared to the same period last year and $29 million below estimates. Management reaffirmed its 2025 outlook, maintaining guidance for normalized EBITDA of approximately $1.01 billion.

  • Flowers Foods, Inc. (FLO) rts First Quarter 2025 Results; FLO reported non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.35 for the quarter, representing a 7.9% decline year-over-year and missing analyst expectations by $0.02. Revenue decreased 1.4% to $1.55 billion, falling $50 million short of estimates. For fiscal year 2025, management now expects net sales between $5.297 billion and $5.395 billion, reflecting 3.8% to 5.7% growth over the prior year. Adjusted diluted EPS guidance was revised to a range of $1.05 to $1.15, down from the previous range of $1.11 to $1.24.
