- I purchased 15 shares of Canadian National Railway Company (TSE:CNR) at C$153.10 per share plus commission
At today's exchange rate, that purchase 15 shares of CNR will increase €25.18 of my expected annual net dividend income. Following this acquisition, my portfolio now contains a total of 35 Canadian National Railway shares at an average purchase price of C$153.99 and yield on cost is 2.19%. After this acquisition, CNR ’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.49% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 0.26%.

- Tele2 AB (TEL2) interim report third quarter 2024; TEL2 reports earnings per share SEK 1.60, 3.9% above last year's result. Revenue rose 1.9 percent to SEK 7,390 million, compared to the company's analyst consensus of 7,404. Operating profit amounted to SEK 1,663 million (1,554). For 2024 management guides 3-4% organic growth of end-user service revenue, 1-3% organic growth of underlying EBITDA.
- Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Results; VZ reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.19, 2.5% below last year's result but $0.01 more than expected. Revenue of $33.3 billion misses analyst estimates by $120 million and decreased 0.1% versus the same quarter last year. For 2024 Management guides Total wireless service revenue growth1 of 2.0 percent to 3.5 percent and Adjusted EPS of $4.50 to $4.70.
- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Financial Results; TXN reports third quarter GAAP EPS of $1.47, 21% below last year's result but $0.10 more than expected. Revenue of $4.15 billion beats analyst estimates by $30 million but decreased 8.4% versus the same quarter last year. Management guides fourth quarter revenue in the range of $3.70 billion to $4.00 billion and earnings per share between $1.07 and $1.29.
- Kimberly-Clark Corporation (KMB) Announces Third Quarter 2024 Results; KMB reports Non-GAAP EPS of $1.83, up 5% versus prior year and $0.12 ahead of estimates. Revenue of $5 billion misses analyst estimates by $50 million and decreased 4% versus the same quarter last year. Management guides for 2024 Organic Net Sales to grow between 3%-4% versus a mid-single digit rate previously and Adjusted Operating Profit and Adjusted Earnings Per Share to grow at a mid-to-high teens percentage rate on a constant-currency basis.
- Philip Morris International Inc. (PM) Reports 2024 Third-Quarter Results; PM reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.91, beating analyst estimates by $0.09 and increased 14.4% year-over-year. Revenue grew 8.4% to $9.91 billion, topping estimates $220 million. For FY24 Management guides Adjusted Diluted EPS of $6.85-$6.91.
- Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) Announces Increase in Quarterly Cash Dividend; SBUX announced that its Board of Directors approved an increase in the company’s quarterly cash dividend from $0.57 to $0.61 per share of outstanding Common Stock. This increase will be effective with the dividend payable on November 29, 2024, to shareholders of record on November 15, 2024.
- Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) Reports Preliminary Q4 and Full Fiscal Year 2024 Results; For the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, SBUX's global comparable store sales declined 7%, and consolidated net revenues declined 3% to $9.1 billion, or a 3% decline on a constant currency basis. GAAP earnings per share is $0.80, down 25% over prior year. Non-GAAP earnings per share is also $0.80, declining 24% on a constant currency basis.
- Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Financial Results; LMT reports third quarter Non-GAAP EPS of $6.84, 1% above from last year and $0.40 more than expected. Revenue grew 9.01.3% to $17.1 billion, which was $270 million less than expected. For FY2024 Management guides Net sales $71,25 billion (prior $70,5 - $71,5), Diluted earnings per share $26.65 (prior $26.10 - $26.60) and Free cash flow $6,20 billion (prior $6,0 0- $6,30).
- RTX Corporation (RTX) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Results; RTX reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.45, beating analyst estimates by $0.11 and increased 16% year-over-year. Revenue grew 5.8% to $20.1 billion, topping estimates by $280 million. Company backlog of $221 billion; including $131 billion of commercial and $90 billion of defense. For 2024 Management updates Adjusted sales of $79.25 - $79.75 billion, up from $78.75 - $79.5 billion and Adjusted EPS of $5.50 - $5.58, up from $5.35 - $5.45.
- Canadian National Railway Company (TSE:CNR) Announces Third Quarter Results; CNR reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of C$1.72, beating analyst estimates by C$0.02 and increased 1.8% year-over-year. Revenue grew 3.0% to C$4.11 billion, topping estimates by C$30 million. Management guides 2024 adjusted diluted EPS growth in the low single-digit range and 2024-2026 compounded annual adjusted diluted EPS growth in the high single-digit range.

- AT&T Inc. (T) Reports Third-Quarter Results; T reports third quarter Non-GAAP EPS of $0.60, down from $0.64 a year earlier but $0.03 ahead of estimates. Revenue of $30.2 billion misses analyst estimates by $250 million and decreased 0.5% versus the same quarter last year. For 2024 Management guides Free cash flow in the $17-$18 billion range and Adjusted EPS in the $2.15-$2.25 range.
- QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM) Announces Multi-Year Strategic Collaboration with Google; QCOM announced a multi-year technology collaboration with Google aimed at advancing digital transformation in automotive. Building on a long-standing relationship, the companies will leverage complementary technologies from the Snapdragon Digital Chassis™, Android™ Automotive OS and Google Cloud to produce a new standardized reference platform for the development of cockpit solutions using generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI).
- NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE) Reports Third-Quarter 2024 Financial Results; NEE reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.03, beating analyst estimates by $0.06 and increased 9.6% year-over-year. Revenue grew 5.6% to $7.57 billion, missing analyst estimates by $440 million. For 2024, Management continues to expect adjusted earnings per share to be in the range of $3.23 to $3.43. For 2025, 2026 and 2027, NextEra Energy expects adjusted earnings per share to be in the ranges of $3.45 to $3.70, $3.63 to $4.00 and $3.85 to $4.32, respectively.
- Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (PNW) Raises Quarterly Dividend; PNW’s board of directors voted today to raise the Company’s dividend by about 1.7%, or 6 cents per common share annually. The declared quarterly dividend is payable Dec. 2, 2024, to shareholders of record at the close of business Nov. 4, 2024.
- The Coca-Cola Company (KO) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Results; KO reports Q3 Non-GAAP EPS of $0.77, up 5% versus prior year and $0.02 ahead of estimates. Revenue of $11.9 billion beats analyst estimates by $290 million but decreased 0.8% versus the same quarter last year. For FY2024 Management guides Non-GAAP EPS growth of 5% to 6%, versus $2.69.
- General Dynamics Corporation (GD) Reports Third-Quarter 2024 Financial Results; GD reports Q3 GAAP EPS of $3.35, 10.2% above last year's result but $0.16 less than expected. Revenue of $11.7 billion missing analyst estimates by $60 million but increased 10.4% versus the same quarter last year. The consolidated book-to-bill ratio, defined as orders divided by revenue, was 1.1-to-1 for the quarter. Company-wide backlog was $92.6 billion.
- L3Harris Technologies, Inc. (LHX) and Palantir Announce Strategic Partnership; LHX and Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE: PLTR) announced a strategic partnership to propel advanced technology development and accelerate L3Harris’ digital transformation.

- Neste Corporation (NESTE) Interim Report for January–September 2024; NESTE reports third quarter comparable EPS of €0.03, €0.67 below last year's result. Revenue of €5,624 million beats analyst estimates by €540 million but decreased 5.8% versus the same quarter last year. Comparable EBITDA sank to €293 million, compared to €1,047 million in the second quarter of last year while the analyst consensus forecast expected a comparable EBITDA of around €348 million.
- Neste Corporation (NESTE) to re-evaluate its renewable hydrogen plan; NESTE has decided to withdraw from investing into a 120 MW electrolyzer project to produce renewable hydrogen at its Porvoo refinery in Finland.
- Orion Corporation (ORION) Terminates ODM-111 Development Program; ORION has decided to terminate the ODM-111 development program based on the risk-benefit analysis on the results of a longer non-clinical toxicology study. Recent findings indicate that the profile of the ODM-111 molecule does not support long-term use of ODM-111 and progression to later-stage development.
- Tietoevry Corporation (TIETO) Interim Report for January–September 2024; TIETO reports Q3 EPS of €0.32, 13.5% below last year's result. Revenues fell by 0.8% to €655 million. For 2024 Management guides organic growth to be around -2% (revenue in 2023: EUR 2 851.4 million).
- Telia Company (TELIA) Interim Report January – September 2024; TELIA reports Q3 Earnings per share of SEK0.59, beating analyst estimates by SEK0.14 and increased 47.5% year-over-year. Revenue of SEK21,749 million misses analyst estimates by SEK286 million and decreased 0.9% versus the same quarter last year.
- Unilever plc (AMS:UNA) Trading Statement - Third Quarter 2024; UNA reports turnover for the third quarter of €15.25 billion, compared with €15.24 billion a year ago. UNA reported underlying sales growth of 4.5% in the third quarter, as compared to analysts' expectations of 4.2%. Management continues to expect underlying sales growth in the range of 3% to 5%, and underlying operating margin to be at least 18%.
- L3Harris Technologies, Inc. (LHX) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Results; LHX reports third quarter Non-GAAP EPS of $3.34, 5% above from last year and $0.08 more than expected. Revenue grew 7.7% to $5.3 billion, topping estimates by $20 million. Orders of $7.2 billion. For FY24 Management guides revenue of $21.1B - $21.3B and Non-GAAP EPS of $12.95 - $13.15.
- United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS) Releases 3Q 2024 Earnings; UPS reports third quarter Non-GAAP EPS of $1.76, 12.1% above from last year and $0.14 more than expected. Revenue grew 5.4% to $22.2 billion, which was $70 million more than expected. For FY2024 Management guides Consolidated revenue to be approximately $91.1 billion.
- Union Pacific Corporation (UNP) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Results; UNP reports Q3 GAAP EPS of $2.75, 9.6% above last year's result but $0.03 less than expected. Revenue of $6.09 billion misses analyst estimates by $50 million but increased 2.5% versus the same quarter last year. Fourth quarter results expected to be consistent sequentially from third quarter while improving year-over-year versus the fourth quarter 2023.
- Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (DLR) Reports Third Quarter 2024 Results; DLR reports FFO of $1.67, in line with analyst estimates and increasing 53.1% year-over-year. Revenue of $1.43 billion was in line with analyst estimates and grew 2.1% versus the same quarter last year. Management raised its 2024 Core FFO per share and Constant-Currency Core FFO per share outlook to $6.65 - $6.75.
October 25, 2024
- NCC AB (NCC) Interim report Q3 2024; NCC reports turnover increase 1.8% to SEK 14,277 million (14,022). This compares analyst consensus of SEK 13,976. Operating profit amounted to SEK 665 million (789), with an expected operating profit of SEK 591 million. Earnings per share amounted to SEK 4.83 (6.36). Order intake amounted to SEK 13,264 million (9,681), which is 10.0 percent higher than analyst consensus.
- Kontoor Brands, Inc. (KTB) Increased Quarterly Dividend; KTB announced that its Board of Directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.52 per share of its common stock, an increase of $0.02 or 4 percent. The cash dividend will be payable on December 19, 2024, to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 9, 2024.
- RTX Corporation (RTX) has been awarded an estimated $900M contract modification from the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, for a two-year extension of a delivery contract that will increase the contract ceiling from $1.7B to $2.6B.
