- I doubled my holding in CNQ and purchased 100 shares of Canadian Natural Resources (TSE:CNQ) at C$44.18 per share plus commission.
At today's exchange rate, that purchase 100 shares of CNQ will increase €102.72 of my expected annual net dividend income. With purchase price $44.18 plus commission (C$12.02) my yield on cost is 4.55%. After this acquisition, CNQ’s weight of my portfolio is about 0.84% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 0.92%.

- General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., a unit of General Dynamics Corporation (GD), has secured a $103.62 million firm-fixed-price contract for tools and equipment to support initial fielding of the M10 Booker vehicles.
- Collins Aerospace, a business of RTX Corporation (RTX) has secured a $279.59 million modification to a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N0042123D0001).
September 24, 2024
- Masdar to Acquire Saeta from Brookfield Renewable (BEP, BEPC) for $1.4 Billion; UAE-based clean energy company Masdar on Tuesday reported the proposed acquisition of Saeta Yield from Brookfield Renewable together with its institutional partners for an implied enterprise value of $1.4 billion. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary approvals and is expected to occur around the end of 2024.
September 25, 2024
- NN Group (AMS:NN) to sell its Turkish business to Zurich Türkiye; NN announces that it has reached an agreement to sell its Turkish operations to Zurich Türkiye. The transaction is subject to regulatory and antitrust approvals and is expected to close ultimately in the first quarter of 2025.
- McDonald's Corporation (MCD) Raises Quarterly Dividend; MCD's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1.77 per share, 6% increase from prior dividend of $1.67, payable on December 16, 2024 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 2, 2024.
- Raytheon Missile Defense, Arizona, a unit of RTX Corporation (RTX) has secured a $126.20 million firm-fixed-price contract for Stinger missiles, ancillary equipment and support.
September 26, 2024
- NCC AB (NCC) to continue work on SSAB’s new facility in Oxelösund; NCC is constructing a new industrial building for fossil-free steelmaking in Oxelösund on behalf of SSAB. The project is now entering the next production phase valued at approximately SEK 400 million.
- Visa Inc. (V) to Acquire Featurespace; V announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Featurespace, a developer of real-time artificial intelligence (AI) payments protection technology that prevents and mitigates payments fraud and financial crime risks. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close in 2025.
- Fortis Inc. (TSE:FTS) Announces New $26 Billion Five Year Capital Outlook and 4% Increase in Fourth Quarter Dividend; FTS unveiled 2025-2029 capital plan of $26 billion, $1 billion higher than prior plan; 6.5% average annual rate base growth through 2029. The common share dividend declared of $0.615 per share, payable on December 1, 2024 to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 18, 2024, represents an approximate 4.2% increase in the quarterly dividend, marking 51 consecutive years of increased dividends.
September 27, 2024
- Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMT) was awarded $3.23B firm-fixed-price, undefinitized contract action for a joint air-to-surface standoff missile and long-range anti-ship missile large lot procurement. LMT has also been awarded a not-to-exceed $358.4M firm-fixed-price undefinitized contract action modification to a previously awarded contract for Lot 8b of long-range anti-ship missiles.
