- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP) Signs Definitive Agreement with Intel Corporation (INTC); BIP together with its institutional partners has signed a definitive agreement with INTC to jointly fund INTC’s under-construction semiconductor fabrication facility. BIP is investing up to $15 billion for a 49% stake in INTC’s manufacturing expansion at its Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona, with Intel having a 51% stake in this arrangement.
- General Dynamics Corporation (GD) to compete for $372M U. S. Army contract
- The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) Reports Third Quarter Results; BNS reports Non-GAAP EPS of C$2.10, missing analyst estimates by C$0.01but increased 4.5% year-over-year. Revenue increased 0.5% to C$7.8 billion, which was C$370 million less than expected. Return on equity of 15.4%, compared to 15.1%. Common Equity Tier 1 Capital ratio was 11.4%.

- Royal Bank of Canada (RY) Reports Third Quarter 2022 Results; RY reports GAAP EPS of C$2.51, which was C$0.16below expectations and decreased 15% year-over-year. Revenue decreased 4.9% to C$12.13 billion, which was C$40 million more than expected. ROE of 14.6%, down 500 bps. Common Equity Tier 1 Capital ratio was 13.1%.
August 25, 2022
- Altria Group, Inc. (MO) Increases Quarterly Dividend; MO announced that our Board of Directors voted to increase our regular quarterly dividend by 4.4% to $0.94 per share versus the previous rate of $0.90 per share. The quarterly dividend is payable on October 11, 2022 to shareholders of record as of September 15, 2022. The ex-dividend date is September 14, 2022. This increase marks the 57th dividend increase in the past 53 years.
- General Dynamics Corporation (GD) to Provide Abrams Tanks to Poland; General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of GD, announced that it has been awarded a Foreign Military Sales order from the U.S. Army worth up to $1.148 billion to deliver 250 M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams main battle tanks to Poland.
- The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) Reports Third Quarter 2022 Results; TD reports second quarter Non-GAAP EPS of C$2.09, a 6.63% above from last year and C$0.05 ahead of estimates. Revenue grew 8.3% to C$11.6 billion, topping estimates C$970 million. Common Equity Tier 1 Capital ratio was 14.9%.
- Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM) Announces Third Quarter 2022 Results; CM reports third quarter Non-GAAP EPS of C$1.85, 6% under last year's result and C$0.02 higher than expected. Revenue of C$5.57 billion was in line with expectations and increased 10.1% year-over-year. Common Equity Tier 1 Capital ratio was 11.8%.

- Raytheon Technologies Corporation (RTX) awarded $182 million NASAMS contract; Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a RTX business, was awarded a $182 million contract for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System, also known as NASAMS™, a highly adaptable mid-range air defense solution. These systems are expected to be provided to Ukraine in response to that nation's need to defend against advanced air threats.
