- QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM) Completes Acquisition of Arriver Business; QCOM announced it has completed its acquisition of Arriver™ from SSW Partners, enhancing Qualcomm Technologies ability to deliver open, fully integrated, and competitive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) solutions to automakers and Tier-1 suppliers at scale.
- LTC Properties, Inc. (LTC) Acquires Four-Property Portfolio for $52 Million; LTC announced the acquisition of four LuxeRehab centers for approximately $52 million. LTC expects to receive rent of approximately $1.0 million in each of the third and fourth quarters of 2022 and approximately $4.3 million during 2023.
- Starbucks Corporation’s (SBUX) Founder Howard Schultz Takes the Helm as Starbucks CEO; SBUX marked the return of founder Howard Schultz as chief executive officer and as a director on the company’s Board. Schultz also announced SBUX will suspend its stock repurchasing program, effectively immediately.
- NCC AB (NCC) to construct 91 new rental apartments in Västertorp; NCC has been commissioned by Stockholmshem to construct 91 rental apartments in Västertorp, in south Stockholm. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering form with an order value of approximately SEK 180 million.
April 7, 2022
- NCC AB (NCC) awarded construction contract by Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency; NCC has been commissioned by the Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency to construct a workshop and multi-purpose building with a sustainability focus at the Aalborg barracks in Jutland. The order value is approximately SEK 170 million.
- Pfizer Inc. (PFE) to Acquire ReViral and Its Respiratory Syncytial Virus Therapeutic Candidates; PFE has agreed to acquire privately-held ReViral for a total consideration of up to $525 million, including upfront and development milestones.
- WestRock Company (WRK) to Close Paper Mill; WRK announced it will permanently cease operations at its mill in Panama City, Florida, by June 6, 2022. The mill produces containerboard, primarily heavyweight kraft, and fluff pulp, with a combined annual capacity of 645,000 tons. Select grades of containerboard currently produced at the mill will be manufactured at other WRK facilities.
- Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) awarded a not-to-exceed $261.43M fixed-price incentive modification (P00010) to a previously awarded contract (N0001920C0009).
- Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM) Approve Two-For-One Share Split; CM shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 6, 2022 will receive on May 13, 2022 one additional common share for each common share held.
April 8, 2022
- NCC AB (NCC) to construct new campus for Dalarna University in Borlänge; NCC is to remodel the former Liljanhuset property in Borlänge into a new university building on behalf of property owner Diös. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering form with an order value of just over SEK 400 million.
- AT&T Inc. (T) and Discovery Close WarnerMedia Transaction; Discovery, Inc. and T announced that they have closed their transaction to combine the WarnerMedia business with Discovery. The combination creates a premier standalone global media and entertainment company, Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc., which will begin trading on the Nasdaq with the start of trading on Monday, April 11, under the new ticker symbol “WBD.”
