Dividend Income - June 2016

Again, one month passed and it is time to report my dividend income. In June 2016 my portfolio dividend income was as follows:

Quarterly dividends received from:

Intel Corporation (INTC) - €93.33 ($104.00)
Pfizer Inc. (PFE) - €53.79 ($60.00)
ConocoPhillips (COP) - €6.70 ($7.50)
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) - €42.26 ($48.00)
Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) - €15.80 ($18.00)
Unilever N.V. (AMS:UNA) - €16.01 ($17.86)
Emerson Electric Co. (EMR) - €16.89 ($19.00)
Chevron Corporation (CVX) - €56.84 ($64.20)
Target Corporation (TGT) - €49.58 ($56.00)
McDonald's Corporation (MCD) - €15.75 ($17.80)
T. Rowe Price Group Inc. (TROW) - €12.13 ($13.50)
Digital Realty Trust Inc. (DLR) - €95.22 ($105.60)

Monthly dividends received from:

Global X SuperDividend ETF (SDIV) - €63.36 ($72.30)
Inter Pipeline Ltd. (IPL.TO) - €17.80 ($20.17)

Special dividends received from:

TAL International Group Inc. (TAL) - €47.80 ($45.00)
Shire plc (SHPG) / Baxalta Incorporated - €950.07 ($1,080.00)

My Total dividends in June are € 1,553,33 ($1,748.93). After tax payments, net dividend income is € 1,154.38 ($1,299.70). In year 2015, my net dividend income in June was € 691.18. My portfolio's net dividend income increased by 67% compared to last year in June. The reason for such a large dividend income growth in June was that extra dividend from the Shire and Baxalta merger. Without it, the dividend income would have been lower compared to last year.

This month's dividend increased my cumulative net dividend income € 34,086.70

My net dividend income YTD is € 6,661.74, so I have now collected 59.7% of my target net dividend income for this year, which is €11,150.00. The first half looks good and gives the impression that I will achieve my goal easily. However, this is actually not the case, at the moment, it seems that I'm staying below my target more than one thousand euros.

  3. Very nice. You have some great companies there that will be paying you dividends way into the future. Just being curious what is the expense ratio on that monthly dividend paying ETF? Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi and thanks! Hopefully you are right and I can enjoy nice dividend income also in the future. SDIV has pretty high expence ratio 0.58%, but I'm ok with that.

      Thanks for visiting!

    2. Yeah that expense ratio is kind of high. Ever once in awhile I kick around the idea of buying a good dividend ETF with its built in diversification and then putting all new capital into it. Then as it pays dividends I would take that money and invest it in individual companies.

Like I said, its just an idea I have kicked around. Not something that I have set down and really looked at the details.

  4. Great job with your passive income for the month. You are pulling in some serious cash these days from a really sold list of companies. It's nice to see several names in common between our portfolios. Look forward to a strong second half of 2016!
