Intel today announced that its board of directors has approved an increase in its cash dividend to 96 cents-per-share on an annual basis, a 6-cent increase, beginning with the dividend that will be declared in the first quarter of 2015. This is a 6.7% increase from the prior dividend of $0.90. With current price $34.15 (today's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 2.81%
Since I own 400 shares, this will increase my yearly net
dividends by $17.88.
That increase rises my YOC to 4.44%

Very glad to hear this news. I was expecting Intel to finally raise the dividend early in 2015 so this unexpected raise is a great news.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this news DH! It's always good to hear about raises.

Good to see INTC is back to raising the dividend again. Nice YOC there DH.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the dividend hike and the higher YOC! I was looking at the company a while back, but never pulled the trigger because Intel was so far behind in the mobile space. Has the outlook become any better regarding the mobile market for Intel?

Hi
DeleteThe outlook for mobile market still doesn't look very good, but in my opinion that dividend increase shows that the board is confident over Intel's future.
Thanks for stopping by!
Congrats DH!!
ReplyDeleteIntel is in my radar, but I am waiting for lower prices (close to $32) to buy some shares.
Have a nice weekend!!
Divindependencia.
Glad to hear your benefiting from Intel's great products and strategy, DH.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I hope to add Intel to my portfolio too! This month, however, I went with Qualcomm because I believe the strongest growth in that industry is to be found in low-energ ARM processors, which is not Intel's strong point. Of course, Intel remains top of its class in the server industry.
Have a great weekend,
NMW
