- ConocoPhillips (COP) to Acquire Concho Resources in All-Stock Transaction; COP agrees to purchase Concho Resources (CXO) for $9.7 billion in an all-stock transaction. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.
October 20, 2020
- Tele2 AB (TEL2) Interim Report Third Quarter 2020; TEL2 reports end-user service revenue of SEK 4.9 billion declined by 2% compared to Q3 2019, revenue of SEK 6.6 billion, a decline by 3% compared to Q3 2019, net profit from total operations of SEK 1.2 billion (SEK 1.76 per share) improved by SEK 0.2 billion compared to Q3 2019. Reports equity free cash flow from continuing operations of SEK 1.7 billion, flat compared to Q3 2019. Over the last twelve months, SEK 5.3 billion or roughly SEK 7.70 per share have been generated.
- Philip Morris International Inc. (PM) Reports 2020 Third-Quarter Results; PM reports adjusted EPS of $1.42, beating analyst estimates by $0.06 but declining 0.7% year-over-year. Revenue of $7.45 billion declines 2.5% year-over-year but beats analyst estimates by $180 million.

- Telia Company (TELIA) interim report January-September 2020; TELIA reports net sales rose 2.0 percent to SEK 21,530 million (21,101), service revenues grew 2.2 percent to SEK 18,733 million (18,338), operational free cash flow fell to SEK 3,732 million (4,743) and cash flow from operating activities fell to SEK 7,392 million (8,471). The Board of Directors of TELIA has decided to propose an additional dividend of SEK 0.65 per share, subject to the approval by an Extraordinary General Meeting.
- Orion Corporation (ORION) Interim Report 1-9/2020; ORION reports net sales totaled EUR 823 million (EUR 776), operating profit was EUR 246 (198) million, basic earnings per share were EUR 1.38 (1.10), Outlook for 2020 was updated after the review period on 19 October 2020. Orion estimates that in 2020 net sales will be at a similar level as in 2019 or slightly higher than in 2019 (net sales in 2019 were EUR 1,051 million). Operating profit is estimated to be higher or clearly higher than in 2019 (in 2019 operating profit was EUR 253 million).

- Neste Corporation (NESTE) Interim Report for January–September 2020; NESTE reports comparable operating profit totaled EUR 1,036 million (EUR 1,181 million), comparable earnings per share: EUR 1.16 (EUR 1.12). In third quarter NESTE’s Renewable Products comparable sales margin, including BTC, was USD 744/ton (USD 722/ton). The Board of Directors has decided upon the payment of a second installment of the dividend, EUR 0.56 per share payable 2 November 2020.
- Unilever (UNA) reports third quarter results; UNA reports underlying sales growth of 4.4%, with 3.9% volume and 0.5% price, emerging markets underlying sales growth 5.3% and developed markets 3.1%, turnover decreased 2.4%, with a negative impact from currency of 7.7%, quarterly shareholder dividend maintained at €0.4104 per share.
- AT&T Inc. (T) Reports Third Quarter 2020 Results; T reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.76, 19% lower than the prior year but in-line with estimates. Revenue declined 5.1% to $42.3 billion, but was $750 million higher than expected.
- The Coca-Cola Company (KO) Reports Third Quarter 2020 Results; KO reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.55, a decrease of 1.8% compared to the previous year but $0.09 ahead of expectations. Revenue fell 8.4% to $8.7 billion, but was $330 million more than anticipated.
- Kimberly-Clark Corporation (KMB) Announces Third Quarter 2020 Results; KMB reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $1.72, which was a decline of 6.5% and $0.01 below estimates. Revenue increased 0.9% to $4.68 billion, $90 million more than expected.
- Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) Announces Results for Third Quarter of 2020; Maintains $0.2625 Per Share Dividend; KMI reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.21, a 4.5% decline from the previous year but $0.01 above estimates. Revenue was lower by 9% to $2.92 billion, but was $10 million higher than expected.
- Union Pacific Corporation (UNP) Reports Third Quarter 2020 Results; UNP reported third quarter GAAP EPS of $2.01, a decrease of 9.5% year-over-year and $0.06 below estimates. Revenue declined 11% to $4.9 billion, $50 million lower than expected.
- Intel Corporation (INTC) Reports Third-Quarter 2020 Financial Results; INTC reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $1.11, in-line with estimates but 18% lower than the previous year. Revenue fell 4.7% to $18.3 billion, but beat estimates by $40 million.
- Pinnacle West Capital Corporation’s (PNW) Increases Quarterly Dividend; PNW board of directors increased the Company’s dividend by 6.1 percent, or 19 cents per common share annually. This action will result in an indicated annual dividend of $3.32 per share – or $0.83 per share quarterly. The declared quarterly dividend is payable Dec. 1, 2020, to shareholders of record at the close of business Nov. 2, 2020.

- Bonava AB (BONAVA) Interim report January–September 2020; BONAVA reports net sales were SEK 9,444 M (8,975), operating profit totaled SEK 211 M (509), profit for the period after tax amounted to SEK 92 M (247), cash flow before financing was SEK 1,744 M (-1,107), EPS was SEK 0.86 (2.29), sales value of housing units sold in the period amounted to SEK 10,634 M (9,141)
- Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) Reports Third Quarter 2020 Results; ITW reported third quarter GAAP EPS of $1.83, a 7.1% decline from the prior year but $0.36 ahead of analysts' estimates. Revenue decreased 5.2% to $3.3 billion, but topped estimates by $360 million.
- Triton International Limited (TRTN) Reports Third Quarter 2020 Results and Increases Quarterly Dividend; TRTN reported third quarter GAAP EPS of $0.67, a 42.7% decline from the prior year and $0.39 below estimates. Revenue decreased 2.6% to $327.8M and misses by $8.35M. TRTN declares $0.57/share quarterly dividend, 9.6% increase from prior dividend of $0.52, payable on December 23, 2020 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 10, 2020.
