Summer is over, August is over, autumn has begun and it's time to report on dividend income. In August 2023, the dividend income of my portfolio was as follows:
My Total dividends in August are €1,609.80 ($1,762.87). After taxes, my net dividend income is €1,192.58 ($1,306.02). In year 2022, my net dividend income in August was €1,151.20 ($1,170.57). My portfolio's net dividend income increased by €41.38 or 3.6% to compared the same month of previous year. Compared to the previous year, there have been several changes to the dividend income of August: TELIA changed the dividend payment from half-yearly to quarterly, two new dividend payers have been added to the portfolio, namely PG and ALLY, while LAZ has left the portfolio, additional purchase such VZ, MED, MAIN and O. Compared to a year ago, the holdings also included some nice dividend increases like GIS, CVS and UNM but unfortunately also dividend cut from SDIV.
This net passive income of €1,192.58 means that I received a reasonable €38.47 every day or €1.60 per every hour during August, no matter what I did. For the eight months of the year, the corresponding amounts are are €57.69 per day and €2.40 per hour.
This month's dividend increased my cumulative net dividend income € 148,333.83.
Net income / expenditure
- Net passive income for August was €1,192.58, year to end August total €14,018,94
- Total expenditure for August was €1,307,37 year to end August total €11,737.81
- The result for August was -€114.79, year to end August total €2,281.13
I have now collected 62.0% of my target net passive income for this year, which is € 22,500.00. After a few dividend cut announcements such as AQN, INTC and VFC and the weakening of the dollar, it is already clear that I will not reach my target in euros this year. At the moment it looks like I will miss my target by about €1000.
