Recent Buy - Scotiabank (BNS)
Yesterday on 29th September I added 20 shares of Scotiabank (BNS) at CA$ 70.73 per share plus commission (CA$ 5.00). My overall cost basis of this position increases from CA$ 61.96 to CA$ 63.12 per share. I totally hold now 155 shares of BNS and my yield on cost is 4.69%. Dividend Increase – McDonald's Corp. (MCD)
Today McDonald's announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $0.89 to $0.94 per share that’s payable December 15, 2016 to holders of record December 1, 2016. This represents a 5.62% increase to regular quarterly dividends.
McDonald's has raised its dividend each and every year
since paying its first dividend in 1976. With current price $115.20 (today's open), this raise brings their dividend yield to 3.26%.
Since I own 20 shares this will increase my yearly net
dividends by $2.98.

Recent Buy - Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp (AQN.TO)
On Tuesday, September 13, I Bought 300 shares of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. at CA$ 11.78 per share plus commission.
Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., through its
subsidiaries, engages in the generation, distribution, and transmission utility
assets in North America. The company generates and sells electrical energy
through a portfolio of non-regulated renewable and clean energy power
generation facilities. It owns or has interests in hydroelectric facilities
with a combined generating capacity of approximately 120 megawatts (MW); wind
powered generating facilities with a combined generating capacity of 700 MW;
and solar energy facilities with a generating capacity of 30 MW, as well as
interests in thermal energy facilities with an installed generating capacity of
approximately 335 MW. The company also owns and operates electricity, natural
gas, water distribution, and wastewater collection utility systems to
approximately 489,000 connections. It serves approximately 93,000 electric
connections; 292,000 natural gas connections; and 104,000 regulated water
distribution and wastewater collection connections in the states of California,
New Hampshire, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Missouri, Arizona,

Dividend Increase – Philip Morris International Inc. (PM)
Today Philip Morris International announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $1.02 to $1.04 per share that’s payable October 13, 2016 to holders of record September 28, 2016. This represents a 1.96% increase to regular quarterly dividends. The new annualized dividend rate is $4.16 per common share, representing a yield of 4.20% based on PM’s closing stock price of $98.93 on September 13, 2016.
Since I own 85 shares this will increase my yearly net
dividends by $5.07.
That increase rises my YOC to 4.97%

August 25, I Bought 125 shares of Flowers Foods,
Inc. at $ 15.05 per share plus commission.
Flowers Foods, Inc. produces and markets bakery products
in the United States. It operates through two segments, Direct-Store-Delivery
(DSD) and Warehouse Delivery. The DSD segment produces and markets fresh bakery
foods, including fresh breads, buns, rolls, tortillas, and snack cakes. This
segment offers its products under the Natures Own, Wonder, Whitewheat,
Cobblestone Bread Company, Tastykake, Home Pride, Merita, Dave's Killer Bread,
Country Kitchen, and Roman Meal brand names, as well as markets franchised and
licensed brands, such as Sunbeam, Bunny, and Holsum. It operates 39 bakeries,
as well as sells its products through DSD route delivery model to retail and
foodservice customers. The Warehouse Delivery segment produces snack cakes,
