Yesterday HCP Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $0.565 to $0.575 per share that’s payable February 23, 2016 to holders of record February 8, 2016. This represents a 1.77% increase to regular quarterly dividends and this is the 31st consecutive year that HCP has increased its dividend per share. With current price $35.00 (yesterday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 6.57%.
Since I own 100 shares this will increase my yearly net
dividends by $2.98.
That increase rises my YOC to 5.83%

A raise is a raise. I don't expect much from any of the high yield REITs as their currents rates are juicy enough. These small increases just further shows the resilience of this sector and this company during a time of massive headwinds.
ReplyDeleteDivHawk,
ReplyDeleteThought it was small - an increase is an increase, especially with the yield. Can't complain with how the markets have been. Thanks for posting!
