W. P. Carey Inc. is an independent equity real estate
investment trust. The firm also provides long-term sale-leaseback and
build-to-suit financing for companies. It invests in the real estate markets
across the globe. The firm primarily invests in commercial properties that are
generally triple-net leased to single corporate tenants including office,
warehouse, industrial, logistics, retail, hotel, R&D, and self-storage
properties. W. P. Carey Inc. was founded in 1973 and is based in New York City
with an additional office in Dallas, Texas.
WPC is a Dividend Contender with an 18 year streak of dividend increases. Dividend growth rates for 1, 3, 5 and 10 years are 13.7, 19.2, 12.7 and 7.5. (Dividend Champions.xls) W. P. Carey Inc. now pays dividends of $0.9525 per share normally in January, April, July and October.

Good buy DH. I Added some as well and will add more as the price continues downwoard. WPC feels fairly attractive at these prices even when not comparing to other options.
ReplyDeleteLove the REIT buys. For now I am focused on the health REIT sector but also have an eye on WPC, DLR and AVB that are outside the health space. No doubt many dividend bloggers have been buying REITs in recent weeks for good reason. Might have to wait a little bit before better opportunities come up again.
