Today May 23, the Board of Directors of Flowers Foods, Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.18 to $ 0.19 per ordinary share that’s payable June 21, 2019 to holders of record June 7, 2019. This represents a 5.56% increase to regular quarterly dividends.

is well positioned to grow profitably with its leading bakery brands,"
said George E. Deese, chairman of the board. "Our company's strong cash
flow is a powerful advantage and supports both strategic investments and a
growing dividend. The board is confident the company's strategic priorities to
profitably grow brands, aggressively manage costs, invest in product
adjacencies, and develop a team with leading capabilities can deliver
attractive shareholder returns over the long-term."
With current price $ 22.80 (today's open), this raise
brings their dividend yield to 3.33 %.
Since I own 185 shares of FLO, this will increase my
portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by $ 5.51.
This increase raises my YOC to 4.96%.
