Recent Buy - Pfizer Inc. (PFE)

Tuesday on January 31, I Bought 35 shares of Pfizer Inc. at $ 31.45 per share plus commission.

My overall cost basis of this position increases from $ 28.63 to $ 29.07 per share. I totally hold now 235 shares of PFE and my yield on cost is 4.40%. I bought my first PFE's shares in the summer of 2013, so now it was a time to grab some more.

Details of my purchase:

With current quarterly dividend ($ 0.32), my last purchase 35 shares of PFE increases € 31.05 ($ 33.38) of expected annual net dividend income. At today's exchange rate, this purchase will increase my portfolio projected annual net dividend income approximately to € 10,240.00. After this acquisition, PFE's weight of my portfolio is about 1.9% and its share of future annual dividend income is approximately 2.0%. In the near future, I don't intend to increase the share of PFE in my portfolio, if the share price remains at this level.

  3. Hi DH,
Good going there, me too is looking to size up my stake in Pfizer. I think big pharma will be a good investment in the long run from now. The big issues with patent expiring is about to be history and the future looks quite ok.

    Best regards petrusko

  4. I think PFE is a good play and own it myself. Lot of concern and uncertainty against pharma right now though.

  6. Nice! Bought my first PFE during the last Nordnet campaign in the fall, now thinking about buying some more since there price has dropped a bit from that point.

Do you believe that the share price is still bit too much for you or is PFE just becoming too big part in your portfolio? ,In other words, what's your reasoning because you said you won't buy anymore?

    1. Moi Eetu ja kiitos! I believe that the PFE is a good long term pick and I don't think that it's expensive at the moment. However, my purpose is to acquire more JNJ, ABBV and perhaps CAH before I will add more PFE. That is, as you expected, I do not want to increase its share too much.

      Cheers,
      DH

  7. What you think about Pfizer decreasing book value past 4 years and seems like that it will continue this way? Do you see this as a risk or will Pfizer turn it around in coming years?
