  1. Hi DividendHawk,

congratulations to your blog.I have been following your now for quite a while and wonder what is your opinion about Prosafe. You got the dividend right now, but they announced to probably lower the dividend in the future. Is it time to sell Prosafe?

    1. Hi
I really don't know yet, what I should do with Prosafe! As they said "In light of the acknowledged weakened mid term market the Board of Directors will consider temporary reductions in dividend payments." The question is how much they will reduce! I suppose I will wait until the next quarterly report before I do nothing. In general stock prices of all oil drillers has gone down lately and Prosafe has of course followed that. Anyway, it seems that, Prosafe is no longer a dividend growth stock.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Just a general question. When do i think you can retire?

    1. Hi ANHA
That's a very interesting question! I hope you wouldn't think that it will happen never!

      Thanks for stopping by

    2. Heh.. did not think it like that!

More like how much you think you should get by dividends alone to be able to retire ? do you aim for any particular amount?
      Something like that.
ps. taitaa tarvii ison summan jos meinaa suomessa jäädä eläkkeelle normaalia aikasemmin.

    3. Hi ANHA

My net salary is about 2000€ per month, if dividends would give me about half of that, I would be able to live without working. My target is 15k in net dividends and year 2025.

ps. summa riippuu täysin siitä kuinka paljon kuluttaa, voihan sitä viettää aikaa myös jossain halvemmassa ja lämpimämmässä maassa kuin suomessa.

    4. Already looking for a new retirement country? Btw have you made any calculations about that? or how does the tax goes once you move to another country. I know that 15k is more than enough in Thailand or nearby. I personally like Spain or Portugal.

    5. I have not yet selected any country, and I have not done any calculations, I still have a few years time! The tax goes to the new country of residence, but the capital tax paid in Finnish, if you do not turn off all connections. (For ex. owner-occupied homes may not be in Finland.)

  3. I am hoping McDonalds can turn it around. They have always have in the past.
